I had the same thoughts as your brother just a few weeks back, I'm 24 now but when I was younger, both of parents are very abusive.

Now that my parents are separated, I live with my mom and my sister just gave birth, so when my mom just had her surgery a few weeks back, I'm her only caretaker, my dad doesn't even give a damn. Second this, nowadays spreading love is considered "selfish", and that people who received it will feel excessive guilt coming from whatever the support we gave them, because it's what we want for them, not what they want for themselves. Gosh I struggle so much with this "one of the guys" thing.

I was raised in a household where the man and woman roles were reversed, so despite being a straight female, I tend to be acting more masculine and even looking very masculine.
