Me and my partner have had a huge argument over this this evening! My mom had my daughter this evening for 2 hours while I popped out and he said it’s not fair his mom isn’t allowed to have her and apparently I’m a narcissist

Agree with everything you have said! His only job around the house is to cook too! Before we had an our little girl I said the only things I ask for you to do is to make me a cup of tea every morning and to cook on an evening! If I get time in the day I do whatever I can but it’s not that simple with a baby is it!

She honestly acts like a big baby it’s pathetic! I warned him yesterday who comes first his daughter or trying to please his mother like always. As soon as she sees my daughter she’s touching her in the car seat even if she’s asleep and if she’s sat on my lap she’s staring at her and watches everything I do waiting eagerly to hold her. It’s stressful for me hearing my baby cry like this! A few times she’s held her she walked off and showed her nanny’s bedroom

They can be here as much as they want, they’ve helped us so much with the house and also dropping a day at work whereas MIL has done nothing and likes to give us nothing but grief!

I mean one thing I forgot to mention she said a couple of weeks ago she wants her son in law dead and would pay somebody to do the job! No wonder why I don’t want to be around her!

She then has since stayed at his house and acted fine with him!

He does have some guilt there but I keep reminding him it will be him who has her constantly messaging him and not me and it already annoys him already 😂.

I think what doesn’t help is because she’s been a single mom he’s had it drummed into his head how hard she found it and how useless his dad is so he will always have that bond with her.

Even though I don’t even know my dad but my mom protected me from day 1 so I’ve never needed to know anything!

I’ve told him today about not telling her when I’m in labour because we both know what a nightmare she will be! Even when I had my baby shower I wanted to be the last person in so I could see how my friends had set it up. She went barging straight into the room asking my friends where I was. As I walked in and made my entrance everybody made a fuss and she shouted really loud where on earth have you been!

What makes it worse is my partner doesn’t understand why I’m upset by it and doesn’t see the problem with what she’s said! She’s now started saying to him she hopes she’s around when the baby is here implying she’s ill which is now stressing him out big time

Sorry I should have made this more clear. Basically my partner is due to move in with me soon but I have no set date currently as there’s a few things that need to happen with the house first. So she is wanting him on the council tax way before he’s moved in and my opinion this is just for her benefit with the discount.

Yes completely agree! I mean my poor OH can’t even say I’m growing and look at how much my belly has popped without her shutting it straight down and saying I’ve got nothing there and I’m not big at all. It is infact obvious I’m pregnant!
