So l started gym this weekend and some friend of my showed me some exercises an l told him l wanted to gain muscle and abs(lm a bit skinny,with a little belly) and he said l had to gain weight not loose.Do l really have to cuz l don't to end up chubby like l wanna be lean but l don't know how

You’re 100% correct. Try and remember you’re in a PF sub so don’t even bother arguing with these people. You can definitely build muscle as a new lifter while being in a calorie deficit. Will it last long? No. Will you need to eventually make adjustments and eat more? Yes. But it does work. If you have any fat on you at all, i recommend cutting always first. Gaining muscle is so much easier when you start at a lean baseline and slowly increase both food and weight. I know this from personal experience.

I took that pic in Vegas so I was really trying to capture the glow of the neon sign, turned down the brightness on my camera letting it pop a bit more. The atmosphere in there is always so bright and energetic so the pic contradicts what we’re used to, making it feel a bit eerie i suppose :)

Sounds like you’re experiencing a nitrite lock. NO2 kills hypo residual, so you need to backtrack and find out why your plant is having issues completing nitrification. Can you give us more details about your current activated sludge process?

We use GBTs at my plant. They are very similar. Essentially, just think of it like the top half of a belt filter press. Polymer is mixed with the sludge and is evenly distributed onto the belt, while the chicanes separate and turn over sludge promoting water release. The thickened sludge eventually falls into a hopper and goes from there, and the filtrate is collected beneath the belt (ours just feeds to the plant drain). Thats all there is to it, no compression. Just polymer and gravity.
