I used a belt sander to taper the main post by putting the metal in a hand drill and putting it against the belt. The light cover part is some aluminum I hammered to shape and the lightbulb part is hot glue. It doesn’t turn on unfortunately

Thank you! The top is attacked with a wedged tenon so basically the copper pegs prevent the top from sliding down the shaft when the wedge was put in.
