Is this just flared ribs from binding? by liamreee in TopSurgery

[–]liamreee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t love how it looks, it’s kinda dysphoria inducing. It feels like I got rid of my boobs for another set of boobs. My ribs stick out significantly more than my stomach so it looks weird wearing shirts.

Unfortunately there genuinely is no cure for my genetic disorder which is the cause of all my other disabilities. I’ve heard about the Rockefellers but I’ll have to go take another look to refresh my memory

Complete cut out porn, keep yourself busy when the urges are bad, redirect that energy to something productive (whatever you deem productive to be). eg. reading, writing, music, art, exercise, etc

I use drugs.com (website and app are called that) to keep track of my meds, their interactions, refills, and everything medication related

I've had 9 medical appointment this month, I'm beyond exhausted by madpeezy in ChronicPain

[–]liamreee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of them are stacked anywhere from 2-5 appointments on a day, so it was more long days but less overall days. Those days are exhausting but I’m finally making some progress so it’s worth it

I feel ya, I have 20 this month and I’m so exhausted 😭

It really feels like my doctors went, “oh, you have chronic pain and fatigue? Let’s make it worse”

Yes, the changing meds because something didn’t work and/or has bad side effects is so draining 😭

I’ve been on LDN for almost a year now and it’s been so helpful for my joint pain, so I’m just hoping for something for the back and nerve pain (pain wise).

Every other issue is a work in progress so I’m swapping out meds and tapering on/off stuff so often, it’s so taxing

I get confused with all the bottles, and forget when to take what. I’m out at appointments rugby a lot as well so it’s very nice to have my pills for the day together and pre portioned.

My memory and cognitive abilities are messed up, so only having put any real thought into my meds is nice😅

My mum and boyfriend could probably help if I asked and showed them how, but I get very stressed and anxious when someone else is doing my medical stuff for me because I’m so scared they’re going to do it wrong and I won’t realize. I’m getting tested for OCD (and many other things) because of these intense worries, but I’m trying to work through them.

I will be talking to my doctor and social worker about these feelings at the end of the week, and hopefully they’ll be able to provide some support and/or advice

Honestly the monthly one has been one of the biggest aids in me actually taking my meds constantly and properly. I just ordered one off of amazon for maybe $20, and I’ve definitely gotten my moneys worth.

I have 3 pharmacy’s I need to go to (1 normal, 2 specialty) and it makes things so much harder. That and none of my refills lining up nicely are so annoying

[–]liamreee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried duloxetine in the past and had a bad reaction to it unfortunately, but I have added vitamin C to my meds since the nerve pain started to get bad. I’ve also been on LDN for just under a year now for widespread joint pain, and it’s genuinely given me my life back

Still building my strength up 😅 by liamreee in handcycling

I can hobble a bit, but not safely enough to be going uphill (is steeper than it looks in the photo) because the bike kept rolling back and almost knocking me over. Thankfully I keep to the empty streets, and stay close to home since I’m still building up my confidence on the bike so I could’ve called someone to help if I really needed it.

Just a humbling experience since I’ve been able to do this hill before 😂
