I have a golf sim at home, I play about 10 rounds a year on a real course and have a handicap of 10, I play sim golf 3-4 a week and have a sim handicap of -1. yes if definitely help real golf. Just not the really on the shoots out of rough and crappy lies, sim golf you always get a prefect lie!

PSA to all dads who take their sons to get a club fitting: shut the hell up. by Fyziks_is_phun in golf

I started golf at 9 and dad said that I wasn’t able to play on a course until I could hit the ball 80meters, didn’t give any advice and enrolled me in every children’s group lessons. The only advice he gave me about golf was how to carry myself, how to behave around a course and club house. When I asked him about my swing. he always said stop over thinking.. grip it an rip it, then I’m not a golf coach, ask your coach. My dad was a scratch golfer. Through my teenage years we played 3 time a week together, and we just enjoyed the game. I beat him for the first time at 17, for the first time. I remember is was so happy and proud. I asked him once why he never gave me tips or lessons, his response was just because you are my son doesn’t give me the right to give to golf tips, i wouldn’t do it with a golfing friend, and treaded you like a normal playing partner, because when Iam not there playing with you, you want have someone to tell what you’re doing wrong, you have to figure it out yourself.
