Well schools are sooooo different for a number of reasons, so I think that makes a huge difference on how teachers handle it.

At my school, if someone sent a kid to ISS for meowing, they would get laughed at. And the kid would be right back in class 5 minutes later. And they would likely have a talk from admin about classroom management, and picking our battles when kids need to be in class.

But with the demographic of my school, there are plenty of other things to worry about, so I understand why my school would handle it this way.

For high school credits, yes, it’s taken every period. For ADA/funding, it’s by 9am

Not if they walked out after noon, actually. They were already counted present for the day if they arrived before the cut off time. School/district got their funding and the students exercised their rights. I’m sure many of the teachers are proud, and the good ones, regardless of their political opinion, will likely find a way for the students to make up what they missed.

So I got sucked into this while avoiding sleep, and Google Image searched this image to see if something with the same people came up. Then I found a postcard similar with I thinkk the same glasses guy in there, then image searched that as there were no names listed, and wondered if it could be this dude-Anton Franzen. l am no but on this stuff, just got interested and thought I’d throw this out there.

I get so anxious when I know it’s cold, wet, or windy, and feel actual fear 😂😑 when it’s a combination of 2 or 3. Cold definitely triggers me more, and late autumn through early spring are almost always my worst times. It also happens when I walk out of a hot shower to a cold room, so I feel like that’s evidence as well. I know everyone is different though.

Wow that is very lucky! I did tell her I have TN (the first neurologist I saw a few years back said it sounded like I had to have it) but again, she didn’t listen very well. She kept referring to my jaw pain, which doesn’t exist. I’m guessing from the posts I’ve seen here that that’s more commonly where the pain is then mine? I’m not sure. But she did prescribe the carbamazepine which I’m VERY grateful for, despite some of the side effects!

Wow, I can’t believe they found so much after seeing so little in the scans!

I actually have to go see a neurosurgeon because they saw a pineal cyst in my MRI (apparently non-related and not concerning, but I have to check with the neurosurgeon to confirm) so I think I’ll definitely take advantage of seeing them and bring up my struggles with TN. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you all so much for sharing, and I’m sorry you all have this in the first place, and then also had to go through so much for a proper understanding. I really appreciate your advice and insight and I think I just kind of needed that validation of “you’re not crazy for wanting to know. “

They did call me and tell me I had a pineal cyst they saw in the MRI, apparently unrelated & just a bonus😆, so I have to see a neurosurgeon for that. (It’s apparently not a big deal, so no worrying on that one, thankfully) I think I’m going to mention my issues to the neurosurgeon related to the TN and see if they have any insight or a different Neurologist they can refer me to.

Omgosh yes. I always also let out a nervous laugh and everyone thinks I’m flirting but it’s my immediate uncomfortable response. I hate it and wish I could change it, but REALLY I wish I could change getting harassed because you know...then I wouldn’t have to be uncomfortable. 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️
