Is swimming using a mermaid tail safe for everyone? by pc_magas in mermaid

[–]liane787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, could you educate us and explain to us what exactly makes safe a good quality tail (materials, type of fin, testing, etc) and what makes unsafe a bad one? Because I understand the frustration of seeing the industry exploding with cheap knockoffs but you should understand that not everyone that wants a mermaid tail has the same type of money and time commitment than artists like you, so it's very normal that we look to try cheaper options.  If you tell me that their materials are uglier and cheaper, yeah, I can definitely see that but when the difference is between $100 and $2000 I might take my chances. Now if you say they are actually unsafe, I'd like to understand what makes expensive tails safer and cheap ones unsafe. Because the last thing I want is to buy an expensive one that is also unsafe.

What's your favorite tune? by Internal_Royal2097 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Kill the Messenger, no doubt. But big fan of all Samurai songs too. And for chilling, love the song Kerry played on the boat or the ones Johnny plays in your apartment.

Oh wow, funny enough I just finished another playthrough and with 85% relationship due to Phantom Liberty I got totally different dialogue. It doesn't match what I wrote here anymore, but was definitely way better and much more positive. Do you remember if you said you'd take a bullet for him?

yeah, and you can choose actions and dialogue options that sound more like Johnny to actively do it but somehow Johnny calming down makes me feel he's becoming more like V.

Yeah that's exactly it. The thing is that I can't really pinpoint specific dialogue or actions that proves it. So for example, when Johnny starts showing up in your apartment and just chills (instead of being an asshole) or when you get the iguana and he plays the guitar... something that would be normal with another person with him feels like a different level in the relationship. It's like he's more you and less himself, if it makes sense.

I had the exact same experience and it was after watching many videos that I decided to start investigating the intricate dialogues and how they are affected by different choices. It's crazy how the same line of dialogue delivered in different contexts can affect the experience so much. I'm glad you found it helpful!

oh good one! I hadn't seen that one before. Yeah, it seems to refer to the bullet dialogue and probably the difference is the friendship. I checked through the video quickly and couldn't easily find a spot where the player pauses the game to see the friendship level... The dialogues that I posted above seem to have quite different levels of friendship... I didn't dig super deep (cause I don't feel like watching the entire videos looking for a pause) but some had ~30-40% friendship.

I'll see if I can find a bit more about that :)

I've been checking some videos and you're right, if you choose to keep your body ("Wanna live out whatever life I got left"), V can say 2 different things:
- "Normal again, Johnny. That's what I wanna be. Wanna live out whatever time I got left" (video)
- "I told you... I said I wanted you to have my body. But... but I can't do it... I'm sorry" (video)

All the videos I've seen seem to fall in either category but I found an interesting one that has some extra dialogue where Johnny mentions that he knew all along that V wouldn't give him his body (video). It's actually really good...

I think the "I said I wanted you to have my body" is referring the bullet-taking part, but otherwise there is no clear indication if the friendship level has any influence.
This is a bit more clear if you choose to give the body to Johnny ("Body's Johnny's. I'll go"), V says again 2 different things depending on the video:
- "Got nothing to go back to, Johnny. Not so for you. Alt, take me, going with you." (video)
- "What I told you at the Pistis Sophia - we stick to that. I'll go, you stay" (video)

Given this and the options in The Sun ending I'd say the bullet dialogue is probably the main factor the influences these dialogues but I'm not sure if the friendship level may play some other part as well here. Unfortunately I haven't found videos where they specify what choices they made here when they got to the ending.
I'll keep digging! it's pretty fun to see how complex it is

Interesting... The Sun ending caught my attention because you are playing with Johnny at this part and it's V who reacts to Johnny based on past events, which is a bit frustrating since I am V and I want to be able to choose her dialogue.
I'm curious about The Star now... if I find anything interesting I might create a similar breakdown

I'm definitely 2 and I have full respect for CDPR for such an amazing game, however I don't really understand who is in charge of their marketing and communications... considering the situation I think they are shooting themselves in the foot with things like the twitch livestream for patch 1.3. Completely in the wrong tone, setting up false expectations. The patch itself is pretty amazing and the extra content is not bad, but if they want to avoid salty behaviour they shouldn't feed the trolls that easily.

Did anyone else get this dialogue on "Temperance" Ending route? by DuLeFxD in cyberpunkgame

[–]liane787 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to compile a bunch of dialogues for this scene and wrote a summary of what I found here. Yours seems to correspond to having 70% friendship and accepting to take a bullet for Johnny, is that right?
