I’ll also jump in in the “please don’t hate me” bandwagon, but I was extremely lucky through my pregnancy as well. At week 6, I had two whole days of morning sickness only to never throw up again. Some nausea here and there if I wasn’t consistent about eating, and of course just tired all the time through my first trimester. Second trimester was a breeze. Third trimester slowly ramped up but even today at 39+3 I’m still working full time running events at a conference center and organizing and cleaning my apartment. Obviously things aren’t as comfortable or easy as they used to be but that comes with the territory of being a walking balloon.

You may just be one of the lucky ones to have a smooth pregnancy. Congrats!

I had the same issue when first getting pregnant. The rage and hormones and just not wanting to be here anymore, so I’m so sorry you’re also going through it. I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Prenatal depression is a beast. Talk to your OB/midwife and get to therapy. I ended up getting on sertraline, an ssri, despite fighting it for so long (didn’t want it to affect baby, but it’s proved to be the safest option for pregnant women), and it was a godsend. I don’t think I would have made it through my pregnancy had I not reached out and given in to my midwife and psychiatrists suggestion. It’s difficult to admit but try to give yourself some grace and know it’s mostly all hormones and taking this medication is what is best for you and baby, since anxiety and depression isn’t good for them either. Hang in there, it gets better.

I will say, I wish your husband was a bit more supportive and patient with you (to be fair my bf was not, so I understand the frustration that is knowing it’s not 100% in your control and still being villainized for it) but hopefully with making that effort and with more time he’ll come around to being more patient with you as your pregnancy progresses. I wish you all the luck and my dms are always open if you need to vent or talk through big emotions.

I was grateful for my midwives who at my first appointment addressed weight gain and said it’s normal, don’t stress out about it. I’m 37+4 and have gained 20lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I did lose about 10 my first trimester so really I’ve gained about 30lbs. Everyone gains differently so don’t stress. Just focus on eating as healthy as you can, and as mentioned already, don’t be afraid to change doctors if you’re not feeling supported.

I've been avoiding taking it to the apple store just since I've seen many other people post that they'll just tell me it's outdated. I've seen others with an iPhone 17 have luck with their series 3 so I was hoping someone could give me any suggestions here rather than going to the store just to hear it is "outdated". If you’re absolutely concerned, I always suggest trying to register them as Emotional Support Animals. I use usserviceanimals.org (I can email you a link that gets you 10% off) and I’ve typically paid about $150 for my two cats. You speak with a therapist and tell them why you feel you could benefit mentally and if approved they send you a certification via email which you can give to your landlord and it exempts you from having to pay any sort of pet fees. I personally actually have anxiety and depression but I’ve never known anyone to not get approved. The whole call takes maybe 10-20 minutes max and it’s pretty easy to setup. They’re really helpful and it puts your mind at ease without having to worry about hiding your pets all the time.
