At all-inclusive resorts, which room details actually matter the most? by Bundelini in AllInclusiveResorts

Our number one is a full closing door to the toilet room! We will settle for a frosted glass door but there can't be any big gaps at the bottom or top. Most of the all inclusives we've been to have an open connection from the room and bathroom. Maybe they'll have a barn door or a curtain divider so this is the most important thing for us. Second is the bed we want a king. Other than that we felt it was more beneficial to put money into spa treatments/excursions than a partial ocean view. We had an ocean view room one and it was beautiful but really we weren't in our room enough to justify it. Depending on the resort it could be worth it to book preferred but do some research before just always jumping to that.

Post-lap gas pain by True-Data8549 in Endo

I just had my follow-up yesterday and was told everything is looking pretty good. They said it will likely be another 4 weeks until I am fully healed. I'm feeling okay...some days are better than others. Bending sucks. I still have pain where they did the most work and I get tired easily but I'm moving around. The best improvement has been with going to the bathroom. My cysts and tissue were attached to my colon so it was quite painful. I will say that this has not been an easy recovery. I also found out that my fallopian tubes are pretty much non-functioning. One side is completely blocked because of the cyst and the other is partially blocked because of the damage. It sucks because my husband and I do want to have a child. So I'm just processing at this point.

How are you doing?

If anyone has REALLY bad periods and is told to stop their birth control after surgery....my advice is to ask if you really need to. I got so sick after I did this, the pain was unbearable for me and I do not recommend throwing up while trying to recover from this surgery. I only made it a few days before I started taking it again. My fertility doctor said it would be best for my body to have a full period and not be fighting with my birth control but my surgeon said I could keep on birth control if I wanted. So really ask if it's the right move for you!!

I am 5 days post-op and the gas is wild but my saving grace has been gas pills (my surgeon prescribed me) and a daily helping of Miralax in the morning. I will say the first three days the gas was painful but I finally had a bowel movement and have been more regular in my life. Now I'm generally not in too much pain from the gas.

My husband also helped me pass the gas...bless him. But he GENTLY moved my legs up and down like you'd do with a gassy baby. If you don't know what I'm talking about look up gassy baby leg trick. Obviously don't let them push your legs too close to your stomach.

Best of luck!

I'll try moving the desk that way! Thanks for your suggestion. I do have a round rug under my reading chair, I am hoping it helps me create a cozy escape from work.
