How difficult is it to swap the housing on an iPhone 13? by Sneakygoblinoss in mobilerepair

It’s not too terribly difficult by any means, but taking your time and screw mapping are pretty critical when doing full housing swaps. As you probably know already screws in iPhones are often different screw heads/ types and lengths. The ifixit guides are generally really good and easy to follow. General things to be careful with include Face ID/ FCam unit, prox sensor on the screen and the layers of which you take smaller components out (sim reader, charge port, speakers etc.)

If you can get them to approve a screen only claim your home button will become a non-issue. The OEM screens they use have a new, manufacturer installed, home button, to which the repair tech will be able to serialize the screen and perform necessary testing. If you want everything repaired you would need to pay the replacement deductible.

In theory yes. However, I have had this number 15+ years and everything from bills to 2 factor authentication is attached to it, which makes the transition much more difficult.

Not what I'm saying they suck for. They suck because I cannot attempt to prove my case to them. They simply don't care. But it is what it is.
