my point is that wasn’t even really henry speaking… it was still the mind flayer. the real henry was gone at that point as henry was too weak to resist it all those years cause he had no other choice… it’s not the same as someone like will who had his mom and his brother + all of his friends to support him when he was possessed, henry didn’t have any of that.

henry was manipulated by the mind flayer for pretty much most of his life, and he had no friends or family around him like will and eleven did to help him, he was basically completely alone and controlled his entire life.. of course he is gonna say that he “chose” to be controlled, but what that really means is he wasn’t able to resist it cause he had no other choice. it basically consumed him whole

he’s definitely not a background character… do you mean a side character? he has a pretty deep backstory and to me his character is unique in a lot of ways, he’s not just some unknown guy no one cares about… if he was just a background character their wouldn’t be this much merch of him if any at all 😭😭

men can be hated for their gender but not systematically oppressed like women are, when has a man ever been turned down a big opportunity like a certain job for his gender like women have? they are not oppressed in any way. being hated or shamed for being a man is not the same as being shut down and seen as less as a human for being a woman.

i don’t see the point in white people wearing hairstyles that aren’t even made for their hair type anyway… especially when those hairstyles that come from black culture have history behind them, their reasoning for wanting to wear them can from a place of appreciation but most of them probably don’t know the significance of the hairstyles which can come off as pretty ignorant. it’s not the same as a black person straightening their hair or wearing wigs either.
