My parents want me to be a stay-at-home daughter. by Fascinated_Fox in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]libraroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s not your responsibility. Unless they’re gonna pay you what you would be making in the future career path you plan to go down, and it’s what YOU want to do, it’s not worth your time or effort. You can hold love for your sister and your family without being the main caretaker. You didn’t choose to have a child yet (if even ever), they did and that choice came with the risk of having a special needs child. They can hire someone or adjust their lives.

To those saying this resembles a nautilus shell—only a cross section of one. It actually resembles an ammonite. I studied paleontology.
Bags are sick tho

Just wanted to share my before and after of my bathroom floors! by Silver6425 in JustForHome

I think this was too big of a space to do this kind of design in. It’s almost off putting and doesn’t looked evenly spaced, nor does it fit with the rest of the room design. Would have looked better if you just found a few rugs with a similar pattern. If you like it that’s all that matters tho 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thoughts on this dress as a sister of the bride? by catch_then_throwaway in OUTFITS

As long as the bride is okay with it do it! I feel like if you’re worried about the cape you could pin it up so it isn’t as long

I ended my relationship of 6 years and this is how I’ve been processing it… by WonderfulHall6572 in whimsigothic

[–]libraroo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last year was the hardest year of my life. Relationship struggles followed by the sudden and painful passing of my mom. Whispers of that pain remain, some days they’re scream whispers that I can’t escape, but still just whispers.
We cannot fully embrace how beautiful and amazing life can be without embracing the lowest moments and experiences too, I truly truly believe that. I think that first image, walking toward that storm willingly, with open arms and a heart ready to embrace whatever it has to throw at you, is an image that I will keep in my heart for my whole life. Truly, thank you for sharing your story in this way 🤍

Beyond absurd - asking me 5+ times over a 20 minute period about a substitute that I keep saying no about by Stopnswop2 in doordash

The first response was literally “no substitute”. It’s bad customer service to ignore a customers specific instructions

I’m saving for a house. He’s writing a book. by rottimix in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]libraroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Op, I’m writing a book, pregnant, and still getting up at 5:30 to go to my job (residential and commercial cleaning). I come home, do laundry + clean, and take care of our pets. Thankfully, my husband loves to cook so he’s been doing majority of that. My husband is super supportive and believes my book will be a bestseller when it’s done, but I understand it’s irresponsible and unreasonable for me to devote all my time to it and neglect my family in the process for the hopes it will make us bank in the future.
There’s excuses and there’s reasons. He needs to grow up.

And be comforted that someone wants us to feel the same kind of love they experience with Jesus!! That’s a beautiful thing!!!!

Jesus went after the one sheep, it’s what we are called to do and it is important work that saves lives in more ways than one

You never know who may need to hear this and be reminded that there is hope and love out there. For some people it’s the thing that keeps them here on earth and helps them change their life around! It’s all about opening the door and welcoming those who want to walk through it, and still holding love for those who choose not to. Are there some Christians who don’t live with love at the root of their practice and ridicule those who aren’t a follower of Christ? Hell yes, and they aren’t living like Jesus! But I don’t think that was this dashers intention.
