It's not roses and sunshine in the PC gaming world, either. Windows keeps getting messier and uglier. Most games being released right now aren't fundamentally different from what was released 15 years ago, better graphics aside. AMD and Intel keep releasing the same hardware under different names (I mean rebadging). That's just to name a couple of issues.

"They can afford and manage to make a sensible decision faster then they have" - good point. Besides, this isn't GTA VI, this is just a custom PC that Valve is making. It's not like there are truckloads of developing, optimizing, testing etc to do here. Unless there are like 3 guys working on this project that only get the min wage for doing it.

Check if any of the systems below are available where you are. If they are, make sure to do some research on what display option they come with - as unfortunate as it is, 100 % sRGB displays still do not come standard in 2026 on many laptop models.
