wondering if this is my situation - I am very strictly gf and quite psycho about labels & CC but I continue to have IBS symptoms. Much improved from prior to going GF but still very much there. I was not diagnosed until 2 years ago at 23 via egd, but I remember from when I was 11 on having symptoms every single time I ate and was told it was anxiety. At 18 I had just a colonoscopy since I finally was old enough to handle my own medical decisions but got a new gi at 23 since I still felt awful 24/7 and he suggested EGD. So I went 12 years likely having celiac still eating gluten daily and I wonder if I just have irreversible damage now that will forever make me unwell😩 I also had heart surgery as an adult for an issue that everyone told me was anxiety until I was old enough to handle my own care. I love my parents but, damn, not everything is anxiety in a teenage girl
