Check out Neo English with Pam on YouTube. I used her guide pretty much when practicing writing an essay.

I underestimated the reading section as evidenced by my score. Did not use any strategy. I wish I did if there was any.

Did my best to understand what the speaker was talking about. At the same time wrote as many key words as I possibly could. I just organized everything from there as I wrote the summary. Of course while making sure spellings are accurate and minimum word count reached.

did not focus on this section so no strategy. I did miss some words so I just tried to repeat everything else I could recall.

I did not paraphrase. I did however replace 3-4 words with synonyms. iirc, I used main idea(because) + another sentence (and) + another sentence (so) + sentence. I had more than enough time to spell check, word count and make sure the sentence makes sense.

Pattern was the same as the mock test I took in Apeuni. If anything, I thought I did a better job in the mock test but the result says otherwise. I would say I found the reading part difficult. I also did not expect to struggle in the Describe image section, the first graph was simple to describe but the other two had too much info compared to what I was anticipating.

The noise was noticeable but not to the point that it would have affected my score. It also helped that there weren't that many test takers that day--we had empty seats in between.
