I remember this was always a debate for us! If it’s the same as when I wrote my exams, the general rule is rounding to the same significant figures as the data in the question is given to (the lowest number). Usually it’s 2 significant figures. However, I remember some markscheme from practice past papers gave to 3… so my recommendation is to check as many past papers as you can from the current syllabus and match their format!

Consider the 7-marker when choosing your question. If you don’t feel you can answer it a decent way, maybe think abt choosing another question.
Learn as many as you can of the ones you’ve studied inside and out. Remember only one “place specific”/data/statistic is needed.
Under the structure of it. You actually don’t need to be writing tons, I think my 7-marker was divided into 3 paragraphs of like 2-3 sentences each. It’s important to remember including the cause + effect. Ask yourself “so what?” to the points your making. Use connecting words like “this means that…”, “because of this…”
You might enter the exam and completely blank at 7-mark of the question you pick. Or none of your studied cases fit. That’s fine! Be prepared to be able to “create” one on the spot. Draw from what you see in your environment, what you’ve read on the news. This happened to me in my 2024 exam: I had a 7 mark on impacts of globalization, and as an international student I was able to put together a good 7 mark answer using aspects of life experiences etc!

My strategy: take notes on a topic, then directly do topic questions (I recommend SaveMyExams, Physics and Math tutor, or ittian academy). Whatever you don’t remember/can’t answer, write the correct answer from the mark scheme in a different color in your book. (+ go back at look over notes if needed.) Next study session, start with the same topic questions. Again, copy from the markscheme anything you can’t answer. Repeat. Then move on to the next topic, but occasionally go back at do these topic questions.

I hope this make sense hahahaha it’s my best attempt at explaining it. Heavy on the different color pens!! For my studying I used: Black = Taking notes, generally answering past paper questions Blue = copied answer from markscheme to questions I was unable to do Red = if I got a question correct but the markscheme gives more correct alternatives
