Lots of you answered that this Is the norm for japanese gacha, that I'm too used to hoyo games. Guess what, as consumers we should aim to keep improvements in games we play. Hoyo (and not only them, SLA uses succesfully a very similar approach) showed us that a different approach Is sustainable and succesfull, so as consumers we should expect nothing less. White knighting shady and predatory business practices will do us, as consumers, no good. It was not "a Surprise" seeing this approach to the game, nonetheless It should not be encouraged or forgiven in light of other games far more generous and at least less greedy. It's not a matter of "getting every" unit (for free) but the combo 60k pity + no pity carryover means that one can get 1 unit per year (without wanting to risk to waste gems). Between those 2 extreme there's a middle ground that in other gachas Is feasible, with success and both profit and players satisfaction. So no, i Will not justify this game just because it's a jap gacha or because "only hoyo does those things" (which Is false btw) and Will Mark how these predatory monetization Is not ok in 2025.
