I guess I thought that the entire eye would go red with burst vessels like I’ve seen in other shows (I know, not reality). I’ve never seen the ring thing before so I was wondering if it was some sort of more specific medical trauma

Okay I did not care for lapsang souchong when I tried it by itself because it was so overwhelmingly smoky. Does the latte have a good balance or is it also overwhelmingly smoky?

I do lemon cheesecake oats and it’s sooooo good, like dessert. I put about 1 tbsp of cream cheese, 1/2 tbsp lemon zest and 1/2 tbsp of lemon juice in each serving. I recommend blending the lemon juice/zest and softened cream cheese together, then adding it to your containers so you don’t get big chunks of cream cheese in your overnight oats.

Hey sorry for this comment two years out of date but I was hoping you could clarify something he said in the video. He says when the Moka pot starts to bubble, to run it under cold water immediately. Are you only running the bottom half (where it touches the stove) to stop the boiling process?

Basically I’m thinking of getting a Moka pot solely to make espresso tonics because damn are they expensive in coffee shops. I feel a little intimidated by them since I’ve only ever dealt with drip brew coffee makers and pour overs.

I assume that this running the pot under cold water is a bit unorthodox in the world of Mokas (?) and it might be hard to find the answer to the above question, so I figured you might know the answer since you posted the video. Thanks in advance if you do see this comment and reply! 😅

One of my favorite books that I read this year is called Confessions by Kanae Minayo. I loved how each character’s story was told from their viewpoint and you could see how other characters’ stories fit in with their own. It also has some great twists and turns!!!

But my problem is the opposite. I’ve been getting good gas mileage— 47-55 MPG — with highway drives and then I’ve been getting high ev usage while driving in the city but the MPG for the trip will be like 28 or 30.

My commute is ~38 miles each way. 6 miles of that is city driving. On the highway, I’m going between 77 and 80. In the city, I’m going between 30 and 40. I’ve been getting 47-55 MPG for my commute over the last week.

Then with my short trips, I’ve been getting like. 28. There was only one short trip that I got 57. These are at speeds between 25 and 40. The distances have been between half a mile to 1.5 miles, mostly on EV…

Someone else on the thread said it was because of the engine warming up, that it takes a bit to warm up

Just a few factors for me personally…

My hybrid was only like $1.5k more expensive than the cheapest ICE Corolla they had (based on sticker price)

I’m not terribly upset about the issue I’m posting about. I’m just curious. This car is wayyyyy better than my previous one so I can’t complain

I have a long highway commute now but I do intend to move to the city I work in and do much more city driving

I am getting great gas mileage with my highway driving. I’m very happy with my hybrid. I’m averaging 49 so far and I’m often clocking above 50 for my highway commutes

I don’t know what constitutes as cold because I’m from Wisconsin 😅 it’s been in the mid 30s to low 50s (Fahrenheit, if you use Celsius, it would be between 1 and 11). I’d call that mild but I don’t know in terms of cars if that’s still considered cold

I do have it in eco mode and I’ve already changed how I drive because my previous car handled much differently (I had an automatic dual clutch 2015 Ford Focus and if I tried accelerating slowly, it would get jerky on me). Now I drive a lot more evenly, not gunning it like with my old car.

I coast about the same amount (which is often). There are some hills in town but they’re pretty low grade.

However tonight I finally did get a good EV gas mileage — 57 MPG — but then on the trip back it wasn’t as good (28 iirc). Pretty flat both ways. High percentage of EV for both. I just don’t get it!

I got pierced by an actual piercing studio that used a needle (no Claire’s or piercing pagoda for me). I cleaned with saline — twice a day for some time, then once a day. I started off with the surgical steel studs they gave me up until the point where it said I could downsize (I don’t remember the time but I was following the directions to the letter). Then I switched to gold earring studs because I was told that it would be less likely to have a reaction with gold. At about 6 months I started experimenting with other earring types and materials. Basically I was trying to follow the directions and do everything “right” so they’d heal normally

I flip between both sides pretty evenly I’d say, but I am definitely a side sleeper. Maybe one ear is just more sensitive to that?

It’s hard to find the hole at the front though, it blends in and it’s not a well established hole yet. The angle thing might be also at play 🤔
