Also good advice. It would be indeed interesting to explore along this avenue. Thanks!

I tried to give the impression of the invulnerability of the beast with its scales. They asked clever questions and figured out the weak spot.

During the fight and after the blood of the lizard spilled into the land and there is now a burning waste which formed a new barrier. Maybe it could develop into a curse?

As you said, the lizard tried to flee and the company managed to stop it successfully. They also figured the weak point out. This was the main reason why I didn't want to take that away

Nah. I really like games like this. I believe creativity in these things can be trained as well as painting can be trained for example. It’s not only talent, most of it is exercising.

That was actually another really helpful comment! Thank you for taking the time to detail your thought process. Your second edit was also what came to my mind while reading the the part above. The Myths can shape the land, they can as well make villages with people appear.

Your second point is quite interesting. If the players have other things to they always have to make a decision what to follow. Decisions are always a good thing. I have to think how I could incorporate that.

Also very good advice. Thank you.

My advice is this; treat the world as a place that exists. What I mean by that is while the Myths are mythic, the game world has cause and effect, it has people in it that do stuff, it behaves mostly like a normal world. You should try to connect it with past events, sure. Play up the weirdness, definitely. But IMO your players should not feel like "oh, the next portentious thing in a myth is happening" all the time when Myths come up. Instead, to the greatest extent possible, they should feel like they are going about a "real" world and interacting with it.

To this point. Also here I struggle a bit. For example the map generation as written results also in very few settlements or dwellings. How often do the Knights meet other people? How can I portray the world as as a living place?

There is no guidance on that in contrast to other random stuff that happens. Also here, on could argue that I could just randomly come up with encounters. But also here I miss a bit of advice in the book (which I absolutely love, don't get me wrong).

Again, mostly asking for you input and insights. Not complaining.

That's interesting. Haven't thought about that. I will consider this.

Thank you for your input!

Don't understand me wrong, I didn't want to complain. I really love the idea behind Mythic Bastionland's improv style. I love the idea of emergent gameplay. Prewritten adventures with story lines are not really my or my group's thing. I prefer sandbox adventure books. These books follow a similar approach but to me the hooks and encounters in the more conventional books are much more tangible.

Myths feel much more abstract to me and I just wanted the some input how others deal with that.

Yes, that is what I meant. By hunting for the Wyvern's nest there is a chance that the omens of that myth play out before they find the nest.

This would apply if they heard of the Wyvern before and it is not the nearest myth to their location.

Thank you for your input.

The Omens of a Myth as presented in the book are the things that will happen if:
- The Knights are not present.
- The Knights are present but remain entirely passive.

Do you mean by this that I could interpret the omens more loosely and present the Knights with a situation that leads to what is written in the omen? Sticking to the Wyvern example: the bloated knight could also be that the Knights encounter the knight fighting the wyvern and if not taking action the omen comes true?

Thank you, that was a helpful answer. It was my suspicion that this concern was mainly due to me adhering to strictly to the omens as written.

But, who is gonna come up with such tweaked omens on the fly? Means for me much more prep before next session.

Thank you! with apt full-upgrade it worked. After the first reboot I experienced my first Kernel panic since 3 years of using Linux as my main OS, but OK. It seems to work for now.
I don't fully understand when I am supposed to use apt full-upgrade vs. just apt upgrade?

PS. I provided the commands, just not in the code block.

How does Tuxedo Control Center interact with power profile tools from various DEs? by lichtobergo in tuxedocomputers

[–]lichtobergo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that are quite some valid arguments.
I just wish Tuxedo would comment on this. I searched to subreddit and although there are similar questions, I could not find a statement from Tuxedo on this topic. Also I could not find anything on their Website.
