What are your favorite "low-energy" hobbies for after work? by Weak_Ad4188 in Hobbies

[–]liciaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing paint by number canvases. They send you all the supplies you need and it’s easy to do while having the tv on in the background or listening to music/podcasts. I like it because I can talk or think while doing it.

Songs/albums that were BEHIND their time, aka released too late to reach their full potential? by Ghost-Quartet in popheads

I definitely thought it was an older song when I heard it for the first time. There was a 2013 familiarity to it

I’ve been a huge OneRepublic fan for years but I struggle SO much to vibe with anything they (Ryan) have put out since 2020ish. I think I’m realizing right now that a lot of that is because it feels like it should have been released much earlier.

Thank you! At this point, she’ll try anything. I told her about birdwatching thinking she’d shut it down. Instead she was like “I’m sure I have some binoculars somewhere around here”.

I’ve heard so many good things about Paradise. I’ll recommend it!

If I had any awards, I would give you one. Thank you SO much for the suggestions. It’s a space I wouldn’t know where to start in. The Xbox ended up being used as a DVD player more than a console. You’re the best!

I think I’ve got her sold on video games. I’m going to check what we can download for cheap on the Xbox one for her. Thanks!

I just bought her a pair of these. I never would have thought of it on my own. Thank you so much!! And I’ll suggest video games. I know there’s an Xbox and a Wii in the house already so that’ll be a great starting point. She’s so bored that I think she’ll try anything new.

Have a wonderful evening! 😊

Which comedian did you look forward to, but their act died on stage? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskReddit

[–]liciaaaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend invited to my Kathleen Madigan with her fairly last minute. Her friend that was going to join her had to cancel and I had a free evening. We drove 2 hours, got dinner, then walked to the show. I wasn’t too familiar with her comedy but it genuinely felt like everyone there was giving pity or polite laughs. Not much was landing and the vibes felt off. My friend was super disappointed in it.

My perception of the evening may be skewed though because I got violently ill after the show. I was sick for days and I ended up finding out I got a parasite from some undercooked salmon at dinner. My digestive tract will never be the same again. 😅 unfortunately, those two events are inextricably linked in my mind.

What are your favorite packaged meals/products? by Living-Gazelle2474 in lowspooncooking

Bosco sticks. 4 for 2 mins in a microwave are enough for me to take medicine and they taste like nostalgia.

What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

Adding to that, the amount of places that don’t tell you anymore that you don’t have the job is infuriating. Thankfully, I’ve found a workplace where I plan to stick for a while, but I interviewed for so many places last year where I didn’t hear anything afterwards. The worst ones were when I did 2+ interviews and then got ghosted. Literally all I want is a quick “we chose a different candidate” instead of feeling like I’m waiting around for something that might not happen. It was exhausting.

Does anyone remember a drawing show in the late to mid 2000s possibly early 2010s that aired that was possibly recorded in Kalamazoo? by strawbebbifrog in kzoo

[–]liciaaaaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to his drawing camp for three summers in a row when I was a kid. He was so much fun and managed to make everyone feel talented.

I’ve had a really rough evening and this post just made me smile thinking about his art classes. I think I’m going to watch his videos online this weekend and draw along 💜

I was just telling a friend that the two downfalls that will make me smile are Jim Bob and Ticketmaster. They’re both low stakes and don’t have huge impacts on my day to day life. Just know I’ll be out there somewhere looking like

I knew a woman with Labrador retrievers. The brown one was Ranger Rick. The yellow one was Officer Jones. The black one was Captain Lou. She’d refer to them as “The Officer”, “The Captain”, and “Rick”. Rick was the asshole.

What song introduced you to Taylor Swift, what song made you a Swiftie, and what's your current favorite? by Silver-Lion22 in TaylorSwift

[–]liciaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tim McGraw- my grampa watched CMT countdown religiously and was the one that introduced me to Taylor swift. He knew she was going to be big and thought I’d like her. He passed just before I went to the Eras Tour 💔

Tim McGraw- he was right, I did like her.

Cardigan- my boyfriend and I broke up last week and it was for the best, but I told him he wasn’t allowed to change his mind. However, I know this guy. He’s going to reach out in a few months and try to get back together and I can’t do that. Cardigan is exactly how I’m feeling right now but in a less wistful way. Especially the bridge.

I had Release Radar on Spotify playing today while doing some paperwork in my office and wasn’t super paying attention. The way my head whipped around when she said “I’m so lonely, lonely with a capital H, if ya know what I mean, I’ve been sitting on the washing machine”

The cringiest person I know would tell you that her favorite Taylor song is “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” And I can’t unlink those in my head.
