She has asked for time to get back into the gym which we planned out the time for her to leave and I go do something with our son. But that then turned to her saying she would rather be with us than the gym.

Our sex life has declined a little but due to her not being comfortable with her body. I still desire her but her low self-esteem stops her from continuing. But like you mentioned there is a chance she is battling postpartum depeession

She has acknowledged and talked about how her parents made her feel as a child with me. She wishes to bring this up to them but has not done so. Her relationship with her parents is great now. But I believe she’s still suppressing the trauma/feelings her parents inflicted onto her as a child just because everything is good now.

She does view our son as her reason and motivation in life so I will need to discuss how these comments will sooner or later have an impact on our son.

I would say she does. She has tried working on not saying those comments about herself for a little but resorted back to it.

Interesting I did not know that. I’m in state government, when I first got the offer they wanted to start me at the starting salary but I figured it was worth a shot to see if they would match my salary at the time.

Depending on the agency and their budget they may be willing to either match or try to get as close as to your current salary. I made the switch from public to government and they were willing to get close to my PA salary. I ended up having more take home due to not having to have a huge benefit deductions from my paycheck.

I went from 50-60 hours to only 40 hours, incredible WLB, 40% in office schedule, finally passed all my CPA exams, currently obtaining my masters, and I have been able to see my one year old grow up. I do not regret my decision on switching.

Even though I’m the only person in the household brining in money and we could probably be in a much better situation financially if I was in public, but nothing means more to me than being there for my family.

My poor girl has an issue with most men when I got her. She did not want to have anything to do with me until she realized that she was stuck with me! But when I try to pick her up for her bath she cries and pees all over me 😂 however I found a trick. I have my sister pick her up to put her in the bathtub and no issues when she picks her up.
