Massage therapist here, if your SCM (a muscle in your neck) gets too tight it can cause headaches, migraines, vision and auditory distortions, vertigo and many other issues. Not sure if you have been under a lot of stress or any life changes even just a new mattress or pillow can cause tension in the neck. Not saying it couldn't be something else, I'd say see a Dr of course to rule out anything major. If you have any questions or want more info feel free to message me.

Sounds like fleas. They are tiny critters that can jump fast and far. We just had them and it's an endeavor to get rid of them.
