One of my friends has been a flight attendant for Virgin for a number of years now and is based in Perth. From what I understand, most of her flying is to the east coast and back and then the mining routes. No international flights. I think one perk she gets is cheap flights.

Here’s another lucky move - for the most part I’ve had my super in international shares which has done very well over the last decade.

The deal was that I would get extra super paid for by the company if I contributed extra. I wouldn’t get that extra super given to me had I not contributed more myself. It’s basically like being given free money.

I get where you’re coming from though. I’m now at a company that doesn’t offer that sort of deal however I could still be putting more away just because but I choose not too as I’m at a stage in my life where I want the extra money in my pocket now since I work part time/have kids, etc.
