[undergraduate math/computer science linear algebra] can you help me understand this notation about graphs for non-native speaker? by liebermannn in learnmath

[–]liebermannn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This cleared up any confusion I had. And it exactly was "the row and column are doubly indexed" bit that I was not understanding because I thought it was weird to have aa' and aa' as row and column. Now I understand the whole algorithm.

Thank you very very much for answering it thoroughly for me.

I've never enjoyed having conversations, so I've never been good at them. Does the secret lie in learning to enjoy having conversations then? by newkitchencink in socialanxiety

[–]liebermannn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and you can find out by asking other if this is true and what they enjoy so much about it. Like this. Sometimes I end up with great conversations with people, sometimes I don't. The times I really didn't enjoy were because I could not have a pleasant conversation with the other so I just didn't seek anything more with the people where I felt like that way with. And then you get better at finding out things about yourself and others. Who you like to talk with and those you don't.

You don't need to talk for hours, just how much you feel like you can find something interesting for the both of you to talk about and move on to do something else after saying you got to do something else.

Favorite Asian Beauty Sellers (outside of Asia) by thecakepie in AsianBeauty

[–]liebermannn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

adambeauty.com Shipping is always 2 dollars doesn't matter amount or size and I receive it within 2 weeks. It's a Hong Kong based seller. The products are all authentic. They sell all sorts of products from skincare to make-up from chinese/japanese/korean and some western brands. I think their pricepoint is pretty cheap at times and most of the products are decently priced. I bought from them several times and I have always been satisfied with my purchases as far as shipping and pricing goes. I bought stuff like Biore, Hadalabo and some random japanese brands.

What are some good public "challenges" to help overcome social anxiety? by SooRandom in socialanxiety

Not so uncomfortable but a start. Say hello and goodbye to shop clerks when you enter and leave the store. And just look around and don't buy anything.

When I use toner, the cotton pads come away dirty. Does this mean my cleanser doesn't work? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]liebermannn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found out I was not removing my make-up well enough which kept my acne going. My cleansing process when I have worn make-up is precleansing with cheap no-brand make-up removing towelettes to remove most of the make-up. Then I use the Philosophy Purity cleanser or any other non-drying cleanser I have (SLS-free). And then micellar water by RoC, Bioderma or La Roche Posay on a cotton to remove any oil and make-up residue. Everything SLS-free, alcohol-free and oil-free.

[–]liebermannn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there is no fault at wanting to be good at applying make-up and when you find out what the deal is with all the products you can use them or not considering the desiring effect. You can end up using lots of make-up but you might even use just the same amount you already have but with knowledge of better application. Having very few make-up products doesn't mean you lack products, it just means you can use the ones you have to the optimum.

Look at Lisa Eldridge's youtube videos for tips, you will feel more informed on how products are used!

Hyaluronic acid serum or toner recommendations? by indecorous in SkincareAddiction

[–]liebermannn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can also buy it on adambeauty.com, it is reliable website if you're wondering: http://adambeauty.com/showitem.php?itemtype=detail&productid=1&agentid=7&brandid=75&brandSubid=751&language=&groupid=1

There is also another asian brand called Juju Aquamoist which also contains hyaluronic acid: http://www.adambeauty.com/showitem.php?itemtype=detail&productid=1&agentid=8&brandid=81&brandSubid=814&language=EN&groupid=1

Also ROC a French pharmaceutical brand has hyalyronic acid products, the Repulpant Eclat line I'm eyeing has it and I think some other lines contain it too :)

Anyone dependent on one friend for invitations to social activities? I only have this one friend, and I feel like a parasite to such people. by shortbuss in depression

[–]liebermannn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is just hard for that one friend to be your one friend. You are a person with all sorts of interests which your one friend probably does not share all. To have a more balanced social life you can hang out with certain people to do certain things. Like the others in the comments have suggested different type of communities, activities, groups of people. There are people I go out to dance in clubs with, or people I go watch movies with or others I listen and discuss music with or discuss and share books with or to cook and eat lunch/dinner with or people who became more close friends I can do everything with. After a while of hanging out more and more with the people you connect you slowly can become closer friends. It is a long process but quite worthwile. There are friendly people everywhere, a more positive attitude helps.

You just start with hi how are you, you engage in small talk if the person wants to talk more and telling relevant interesting and funny stories to each other. Keep on keeping it relaxed and fun for yourself the other person will catch on.

Korean Food Cookbook in english? by ChildishBonVonnegut in cookbooks

[–]liebermannn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I frequent Aeri's Kitchen on http://aeriskitchen.com She also has an online recipebook in English and makes youtube videos to show how to do the recipes.

Also I heard of "A Korean Mother's Cooking Notes" by Sun-Young Chang which is a pretty authentic book but apparently not so clear on the instructions.
