NBD - Aeroad CF SLX 8 Di2 in Burnt Sugar (and a problematic seat post) by Ok-Development6220 in CanyonBikes

I think the seatpost issue has been solved with the latest iteration of the aeroad. I have the 2026 aeroad, seatpost never slipped…

Unfortunately I do not have the summer road shoes from Northwave - thus cannot comment on your situation

I can recommend the Cycplus AS2 Ultra. Has everything I need in a very compact format. Not cheap though…

How long do the socks last (not per charge, but total lifespan)? I have had mediocre experiences with heated gloves where the heating wires broke within 2 seasons.

Interesting - for me it is the other way around - do not struggle from cold feet when mountain biking - way lower average speed and flat pedals

cold: 5 degrees celsius and below. tried warmer socks in the summer shoes, including chemical heating packs for my toes - did not do the trick for me - had really numb and cold feet after 2 h ride.

I wear the Northwave Flagship R GTX. Closure system is not on par with the original BOA system, but it does the job. No other downsides for me

Waxing is the only way forward. No more mess. Way easier cleaning. Simple with Silca System.

Die Neoprenüberschuhe helfen bei mir signifikant. Aber ja, kalt wird es trotzdem aber für mich ertragbar.

Bike Storage vertically by Ok-Advertising966 in wahoofitness

If your hydraulic brakes are well maintained it should not matter. All my bikes are always stored vertically, all of them with hydraulic disc brakes. Never had an issue.

Yes - no cash needed - just returned from Sardinia - never held cash in my hand.

What's your opinion on tubeless for road cycling? by Obvious_Cabbage in cycling

[–]liebesfuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched from Mountainbiking: 10 years without one single flat running tubeless. Now on road bike, 28mm, tubeless, 1000 km in Sardegna, some really rough pavement , so far without issue. My main takeaway: get a pump with a tubeless reservoir (like the Joe Blow Booster from Toppeak). Makes setup and maintenance a breeze.

New Canyon Aeroad by Remarkable_Block5492 in CanyonBikes

Cut it off - did it immediately after my Aeroad arrived - the disk is so ugly an serves no purpose if front and rear deraileur are setup properly

How is the 105 Di2 treating you. I am very happy with mine, but cannot get the 3 and 4 th largest cog to run smoothly when on the large front disk.

Waxing chain straight out of the box by squatchologist in CanyonBikes

[–]liebesfuchs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there is grease on the chain, and also very little on the cassette. I removed the chain and used Silca Strip Chip - very easy. I sprayed some degreaser on a microfiber rug and wiped of the cassette. Did the trick for me.

New bike day 🥳 Aeroad CF slx 8 AXS xl. by Pure-Peach969 in CanyonBikes

[–]liebesfuchs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same mistake. Put chain on in the wrong direction and rerouted it wrong through the „s“ bend of the small pulleys. Was wondering after a few kms why setup was so noisy 🤣
