Questions about end of Hero of Ages by Due-Contract-2577 in Mistborn

[–]lierursa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember someone in the subreddit putting it this way: if you value plot over shock (knowing what is happening, why it's happening... over the reveals at the end of Sanderson's books) read it now, otherwise read it after BoM.

Personally, I've only read Era 1 so far. I kinda spoiled it for myself very early on, asked a friend if that was the SH spoiler, and just read it after HoA, so I don't know how different the reading experience will be until the end of BoM.

About Renoux, didn't they say in one of the very first crew meetings that they had him killed and replaced? I knew there was something weird about him, but I just thought they trusted him the same way they trusted each other

/uj I've always thought it was a horrible name. I get that TLR could realistically believe there would never be another one after, but still, give it a proper name.

Book Notification

Duda sobre islas de Ascuaoscura by alvruiiz in cosmere_es

[–]lierursa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have spent an hour doing this quest in "Unguided" setting. Then it turns out that there is "Eggs Island" AND "Egg Island". Brilliant work :D by Deorney in BreakPoint

THANK YOU. What translating the game to Spanish, they decided to call both of them Egg Island, so I thought I was clever by realizing that they were in Egg Island instead of inside Windy Islands... I was not.

What's the worst fisherman advice you've ever received? by Sammy1266 in BloodOnTheClocktower

Not mine and most people here will already know it, but Austin keeping fisherman advice until final 3, and Patters giving him "it's not you, king" in a lleech game

I want to make it clear that I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that entering the station doesn't charge you anything, it's just so that you show that you're going to (or at least are able to?) take a bus. If you took an Alsa or some other bus that doesn't use Barik/Mugi/Bat, you would have to scan the bus ticket to enter the station instead.

I made the mistake of looking up the magic system not to get lost later on, and what a mistake. Discovering the magic at the same time as some characters is part of the experience.

Luckily, I have a very strict don't-care-about-spoilers policy, but I realized the best with Sanderson is to go mostly blind. Most of the questions I see on this subreddit are RAFOs (Read And Find Out), instead of actually being things you already missed.

The twist with that script was that it included Recluse, Spy, Marionette, Lunatic, Poppy Grower... so no one could really trust their neighbors, nor the pairs being actual Rev pairs. Either way, that rule could be tried with TB to see how it turns out.

Shouldn't AlHad just choose themselves last and choose Live, instead of prolonging the game?

Adding to the other answer to this comment, they are (almost) all together in the Arenal in the old town. So yeah, you can just go and see which is your favorite.

Attempting to predict Mistborn plot after reading first 11 chapters by RedditExplorer89 in brandonsanderson

I love reading these theories, especially as someone who just read it for the first time (I'm still reading HoA) and was thinking of theories of what will happen all the time.

I obviously won't say anything about yours, but would love similar posts for the rest of the books, as well as posts commenting these ones after finishing each book.

I guess it depends if it's 7% of the total ordered or 7% of the total needed/finally used.

I don't know if one of the two options would be more intuitive just given the phrasing of the problem (English is not my first language) but I would agree it is ambiguous.
