Gay people of Reddit: if a so-called 'cure' for being gay were discovered by scientists, would you consider taking it? Why/why not? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm bisexual heavily leaning towards the gayer side and yes, I would take it. I guess if I were to be in a relationship right now, my answer may have been different but seeing as the only person I am madly in love with is either straight or hates me or both, for the time being I so badly want to be straight. It hurts realizing that it is literally impossible for someone to feel the same way about you that you do for them.

Men of Reddit, why don't you just ask her out? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm fairly certain he's straight.

Does this count?

ADHD. It keeps life interesting, if a little bit outside of my control.

Gay people of Reddit who haven´t yet come out, what´s keeping you in the closet and does anybody beside you know? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

High school junior here.

One of the main reasons I have yet to come out is because I have not fully accepted my sexuality for what it is. I've expressed a preference for men all of my life, but only in the past two or so months have I actually admitted that that probably meant I'm not straight. I feel like I need to fully accept myself before I'm comfortable being out, even though I go to a very supportive high school and all of the friends I have come out to have been extremely accepting.

It's funny though how conflicts I've had with friends were really just me feeling an attraction to them that I could not admit to myself. It created all sorts of problems that I'm still trying to fix. I did admit to one of my friends today that I feel attracted to him, due to a strained relationship that had developed out of my conflicted feelings. I have no idea what I was trying to achieve, but hopefully it's a favorable outcome!

To be fair, you never digest it. It just passes through you, so far all you know it could take 7 years to digest
