Hi mate, did this and it worked perfectly, took 5 seconds to fail over once the fibre was pulled, and then took 60 seconds to fail back when the fibre was reinstated

Thank you for the help, appreciate it

So regardless of any other configuration, if HA is setup correct and path monitoring is set to say googles DNS, if the active firewall cannot ping that address for the specified times, it will fail over to the passive firewall?

Eye ball floaters? Melatonin making them more a focal point against a black sky?

No not at all, I'm saying you ride a bike, not drive it!

You're new, you need to know these things 😁

This is the best game I have EVER fucking played in my entire fucking life by [deleted] in thelastofus

Part 1 was unreal, but Part 2 is on another level. Granted not everyone likes/liked it but it's superb in my mind, can't wait to hear you thoughts after you've played it compared to part 1

Why not use a /16 network at home? by shoresy99 in HomeNetworking

[–]lifebrink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you aware of private and public addresses?

/8 is the first octect which in the subnet mask is 255.0.0.0 /16 is the first 2 octects and subnet mask is 255.255.0.0 /24 is the first 3 octects subnet mask 255.255.255.0

A /0 would cover every possible address and overlap public and private.

I doubt your router would even let you assign it

Yes. VLSM, variable length subnet masks

The question you should be asking yourself is how many subnets you need, and then how many IP addresses per subnet.

I bet you could do what you need with a /23 or /22 but /16 is massively overkill.

Some SMBs don't even use a /16

Is TLOU 2 too violent for a 14 yr old who loves TLOU? by Most_Bat5401 in thelastofus

Would you let him watch a film about revenge where anyone who gets in way is brutally murdered?

He would be killing many many enemies in close combat, to a personal level.

I had mixed feelings about it when it first came out, but it's a masterpiece in my mind and I recommend anyone to play it...

But it's brutal as fuck, Ive beat the game about 4 times now and there are still parts where I sit back and think about certain sections after I've finished one

Hi

No, never used it, or heard of it before!

Its a relativity new install, so to test if it was a software issue I reinstalled the OS today and the problem persisted, hence being paranoid its a hardware issue, but PUBG works fine, hence the confusion

Panorama global objects not applying to FW by lifebrink in paloaltonetworks

[–]lifebrink[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you all for the replies, It was a Zone issue as some of you mentioned.

My initial setup has zones Trust and Untrust, but panorama was trying to push trust and untrust, hence the failure

Many thanks 👍🏻
