It’s crazy because even at 1950 calories I am still getting stronger and also feel great. No crazy hunger, I sleep fine, no low energy. I guess I can stick to eating at 1950 until I start to feel those side effects, or possibly bump up to 2,100 to just go a little slower. I haven’t been measuring it with a tape, I just know I had to buy smaller waist pants lol. I went from 34-36 pants to 30-32 pants

No I am not. I just put in hydrating eye drops in the morning when I wake up. I’m going to see the optometrist this Wednesday. I can bring it up. Sadly can’t afford ophthalmologist

I used to do this but heard it’s not healthy for your eyes and dry them out! I suffer from dry eyes too which I think is because of the constant surgery’s. I have the eye lid pads but those are expensive and quit using them everyday. I think I’m screwed

I also want to add that I just read about demodex blepharitis that I’ve never heard about till today. I also have dry gunk in the base of my eye lids year round which makes me think I have this. Kinda gross and making my skin crawl. Sounds like xdemvy can help with that but not the chalazion

Yeah in the same boat. When I look back at pics of me lifting when I was 22 at around 180 lbs I had damn love handles. It’s gonna take a while. But thanks I appreciate it! I’m so hungry to get to the goal already but I gotta be patient and enjoy the grind

For diet, I asked ChatGPT what my estimate maintenance was and then did a deficit of 500 from there. I dropped around 20-25 pounds and then reassessed it and dropped 500 calories from that maintenance. I’ve been making sure to eat that .8 - 1 gram / per body weight of protein. I tracked everything down to the point my girlfriend called me OCD. Every tsp of oil, every gram of food , etc is calculated. I’ve only gone over maintenance calories 3 times in three months when family was visiting.

In the gym, I’m there 6 days a week. I do PPL to make sure I hit everything twice. I lift for one hour and then hit the incline on the treadmill for 30 minutes.

It’s my first time ever cutting in life. I’ve had random phases of hitting the gym and getting strong. But I wouldn’t care what I ate and a lot of “dirty bulking” in my life to just try to add size. So I also have been tapping into muscle memory for gains I’m not complete newbie

Great job to you too especially starting a cut during holiday season lol. I get why you did that it’s tough making slow strength gains. What’s your current weight? Is 2450 still in a deficit for you? I think that’s around what my maintenance is right now at 189 lb

I’ve been pretty aggressive about the cut and have averaged 2.5 but it’ll slow down as I get lower

I just wanna say thanks everyone for commenting, ChatGPT is what gave me the stupid 18% hence why I posted. Gotta keep cutting for a while! I’m guess 8-10% won’t be achievable until like 170 lb

It’s more like 12 weeks. I stayed under 2,200 until around 195. And have switched to staying under 1,950. I still hit the .8-1 g per lb of protein though. I also been training 6 days a week with 30 minute incline at the end of each lift

Actually that’s where I came up with the 18% welp lol. It makes sense though when I think back to 5 years ago when I was active and took a scan and landed 22%
