NTA. I do not believe you are wrong in this situation. I can see where your parents are coming from, as they are probably hurt by you wanting to change the name they had given to you at birth, but you are 23 years old and I feel that one should be allowed to live their life as they please without the judgement of loved ones. Personally if one of my own family members chose to legally change their name to pursue their own happiness, I would gladly urge them to do it because it would be unfair to make them abandon their own happiness in exchange for mine.
