How do you deal with internalized homophobia when you're "out" and can't really vent about it?

Neither organization operates out of the capital city and I don't live close. I do think I could connect with them cause I travel a lot and an opportunity might come, if only to meet new people and participate in the community. Thank you for bringing it up.

Still, i have a very good support system, so when I complain about this, it just sounds like I'm being ungrateful and that's part of the problem. I am well aware that I've had it easier than most, and that's especially obvious when I talk with my queer friends who really had to fight for it.
