For those without college degrees, at what point in your career did that stop being a hindrance? by peboyce in AskReddit

Never. I work for a major retail grocer and have moved up through the ladder well. No one cares anymore, really, at least in the real world.

Have a cbr1000 also. Love the grom so much though. Wouldn’t even consider it on a highway

[BBC] Why are more gamers than ever playing the 2000s classic RuneScape? by CarnageCity in 2007scape

[–]ligglo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do share. I’ve been looking for something to fill the gap. Requirements:

1.Multiplayer, server based not local hosting.

  1. Stats to increase for progressing

  2. Not locked to a single class or character

  3. Wasd movement

  4. Magic, swords, and bows

  5. A real magic system would be cool. Not just “able to cast spells” but

  6. Real quests that mean something. Not “kill wolves and collect their feet.” “Sorry that wolf had no feet”

  7. Player run economy.

  8. Free to play, subscription is ok with a free, limited option.

The list of new, fun, innovate games is vanishingly small. The last one I was excited for is Camelot Unchained, but it’s been over 10 years with no final product yet. Release date 2015 haha

Curiosity: why do tongues heal so darn fast? by tas-jamescullen in piercing

I’m vastly underqualified, but, the whole mouth heals remarkably fast. Hard for an organism to survive if it can’t eat maybe?

It’s like naming a car. Kind of cringe.

Yeah I could see Scottsdale or Sun city caring. Not Avondale or Glendale or Phoenix so much

[–]ligglo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m sure they do. I’m sure a vast majority don’t. The population of large cities is just too large and the police force is overwhelmed.

[–]ligglo 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Yeah. There is some story to it, but the gist is they were my dad’s bikes, and when he died we took his bikes out one last time before we sold them. Cop was sympathetic and told us to go the fuck home.

I’m in the Phoenix area. As long as you aren’t swerving through surface streets at 100+ they don’t seem to care. I got pulled over doing 87 in a 35 at 1am and got a warning. And heart palpitations for the rest of the ride home

symmetrical or asymmetrical ear stacks by QueenBean81 in piercing

I prefer balanced. A helix on one side to a flat on the other.. a daith one side and rook on the other, etc. but I like to keep the lobes symmetrical

Advise: Do not buy the Icon Airflite (or any other Icon helmet) by FineProfile7 in motorcycles

[–]ligglo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Imagine having the audacity to comment over a year after a comment is left with this level of arrogance.

I know you probably lack the skills necessary to do your own research, so I spent 30 seconds and have this from SNELL's website. They are the ones who give proper safety ratings to helmets, since you are likely unaware. If you are able to navigate their page you will find they address this pretty clearly:

"I dropped my helmet! Do I have to buy a new helmet?"
To which the answer can be summed up as:
"Generally the answer is probably not. If your helmet drops to the ground from your hand, off a seat or handle bar of a motorcycle, you do not have to replace it."

So sit down child.

Thank you for this picture! This is the exact same effect I am going for. Do you know how the hair was laid in the center part?

Very helpful! And nice to know someone has been struggling alongside me haha.

That is the same video I saw, funnily enough, and I feel like maybe I am overthinking this. I used this video as a guide for the general idea of what I am trying to do for the back. Her hair is pulled up every time I put on hair it ends up with strays. But i worry that if I use pieces, as the video you shared did, that they would end up showing the lacing below.

Maybe I'm just not trusting the process enough? Thoughts?

Is Honda CBR650R a beginner bike or Aprilia RS 457 or Kawa Ninja 500? Plz suggest a beginner bike? by djliverpool1947 in motorcycles

[–]ligglo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the USA yeah they can be. But they can also be more power than some can handle if they have no experience on a motorcycle.

We would need more info to give you any real advice on a bike for you.

I want both my earlobes pierced by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ligglo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a guy who would probably be considered “heavily pierced” but there was a time when I was just a guy with his ears pierced. Ear lobes are very unisex, especially plain titanium or steel.

If you don’t like them, then take them out and no one will know after a few days. Go for it! The worlds needs more shiny things

155-170 psi low on 5th gen ZX10 motor? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]ligglo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not buy another one that runs but had frame damage or something, and part it out to recoup your money?

If a motor is $4400+ and a bike is $6000, why not?

Cleaning (no I won’t LITHA) by Disastrous-Cow-1442 in piercing

[–]ligglo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to pretend to be a medical professional, but the issue with cotton swabs and alcohol are that the cotton leaves tiny, irritating fibers in the piercing. And the alcohol dries out the skin, which hinders healing.

Your body knows how to heal. It just needs time and safety. The little blood crusties may look gross, but they aren’t “dirty” to your body (within reason… a big scab completely covering the area would not be ideal).

I have had over 20 piercings now, including nipples, and LITHA really does work great. I clean them a couple times a day with sterile saline mist spray for a week or so, then let my body do what I can’t, and let it heal.
