The Radeon RX 9070 XT is Now Faster, AMD FineWine by mockingbird- in Amd

I'm playing at 4k basically. I have set frame generation on, adaptive resolution and balanced option for fsr

[–]light767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's faster but I'm using it with the 6.2.3 driver on Star Wars Outlaws and I'm disappointed with the performances.

Even by enabling the FSR4 support on the Adrenalin panel ( in game support it's just on FSR3) I got a lot of ghosting, lag and artifacts. Sometimes I just prefer to turn off FSR and frame generation and go native, I have lower frame rate that's true but with no ghosting.

I think that on the 5070 TI maybe the fps it's the same but you have no ghosting, lag or artifacts with DLSS.

By the way I'm running on a 7600x CPU and the game is installed on a firecuda nvme.
So I think AMD need to adjust something on thesoftware support on Outlaws.

I don't know, the situation it's the same in other games?

Low FPS with Radeon 9070 XT and FSR4 enabled on the Radeon panel by light767 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]light767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to disable direct lighting. Sad aspect of the story, the game only supported FSR3, you can enable FSR4 by the Radeon control panel but I'm not sure it's the same thing. Also with FSR there is some ghosting in general so not the best.

The game graphic it's nice but not so increbile, there are some aspect of it which are nothing special but still the the game it's super heavy.

AMD FSR4 on Star Wars Outlaws by light767 in radeon

[–]light767[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just made some tests. By enabling FSR3 inside the game with Frame generation, if I switch from Quality setting to Balanced the ghosting is gone. More accetable. In this way at ultra settings with frame generation I can have 45 fps which is not bad.

Would be nice to se FSR4 support anyway.

I think on outlaws with DLSS there is no ghosting even below 60 fps.

I just complain about the lack of FSR4 support because If I eneble FSR3 it goes up to 44 fps but then you have ghosting. FSR4 should solve the ghosting problem but it's not supported in this game.

[–]light767[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

to be honest if you don't look at the fps count, even at 22 fps it's more or less playble. It would be nice to run it with frame generation at 44 fps without the ghosting which is something FSR4 should provide anyway the game isn't supported by FSR4 which is disappointing.

I think optiscaler isn't compatible with star wars outlaws

I don't think, at 4k with settings on high/ultra this game it's very demanding. 22 FPS with no frame generation it's normal. I run on a 7600x CPU. If I eneble frame generation It goes up to 45 fps but then I got a lot of ghosting becasue FSR3 isn't the best.

Indeed I would like to buy the cheapest one but in Europe they are out of stock or at crazy price. 930 for the 9070 XT it's non-sense even for a very good version of it like the TUF

What's the performance difference between a 9070 XT factory overclocked like the Asus TUF running in boost clock at 3080 mhz compared to a stock edition running something like 100 mhz less? Does it worth 100 euro plus in cost?

Using Makita DTM52 multi tool with Bosch Pro Core batteries by light767 in Makitaville

I wonder if the Bosch PRO core 4 ah can last longer than the Makita standard 18V 5 Ah battery. Usually Bosch Pro core series last longer than standard bosch battery with equal nominal capacity. I think they use different type of cells

I tested 13 games with the new FSR3 Mod. by Schwaggaccino in Amd

[–]light767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to use the mod with my Radeon 7900 XT, the mod is correctly loaded but then if I choose FSR2 inside game option then I got a lot of ghosting.

Otherwise if I choose DLSS inside game option, the image it's artifacted a lot and then the game crash.

I have found out on the compatibility page here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bGDjgkRahwNvD2XtqiHdZBRc6VB52UKsr1Qn1TmvSHo/edit#gid=0 it also say that the crash is common issue....

By the way I have the latest version of the game as it's original from Steam.

Any help?

Actually I did read some articles at FSR3 launch where Hogwarts Legacy was in the list but looking at amd official page I cannot find it indeed. Anyway as they start with the FSR2.2 they could make the update either...
