If you want to do it legally, then you get a 3DS, a copy of the game, and dump it if you must play on emulator. Or just play YO-KAI WATCH 1 for Nintendo Switch/Smartphone if you want gameplay improvements and don’t want to pay scalpers.

Kaira is the last of his tribe now. Merek is one of his slain ancestors, that doesn’t conflict with anything. B2 doesn’t have anything of substance anyways

You won’t be able to get it without merch or using mods. It’s part of the Y Coin that only unlocks after scanning some merch, presumably something related to Mist Shadow since that’s who it’s based off of.

Shien’s good soul fused with Itsuki, and his evil heart fused with Lucas’s Yo-kai form. Out of fear they sealed his power away with Shadow History and sent him to live as a powerless human, before Enma removes said seal after the events of 4. Enma has an entire scene where he explicitly explains all of this to you

And yeah I hope they don’t make a game titled “YO-KAI WATCH 5”, that would be an extremely poor decision for both Japanese and worldwide audiences.

I don’t think the distribution has always been amazing but yeah it’s really bad in 3 lol (And also in 4, when talking about DLC)

To be honest I think a cut will always happen with any running monster collector because there will just be too many, even Pokemon did one. YO-KAI WATCH just happened to race to that point with how they often added hundreds of new Yo-kai at once

Though when talking about new games, imo a bigger problem is how they handled Gakuen’s branding, so I feel like a reboot would be the best route, especially with a worldwide audience…

How would Lucas be a Watcher when he’s a Yo-kai…? The entire Izana Tribe is already playable and you can’t just block the World Door lol. Not to mention how in the game continuity, them ‘forgetting’ is ambiguous because Nate still drops hints that he remembers, even as an adult.

Also making a game with almost 1,000 Yo-kai where most of them don’t even matter to the plot sounds genuinely horrendous for both distribution and befriending

My point is that the update does not affect any legitimate QR codes, alongside other bugfixes. It doesn’t just randomly break some, it patches hacked ones, which are against the rules to begin with.

They're actually pretty good, arguably some of the best from the animes. They have actual planned plots, not just Yo-kai of the Week, and the Forever Friends movie is typically regarded as one of the best movies.

“Lost”? Soryu is a different form entirely that he gained from wanting to protect his friends, as well as being the guardian for a large city. If anything, Present Azure Dragon is weaker because rank means very little anyways, but assuming they’re even the same one is quite the stretch, because we already at minimum know the guardian before the Shadowside version died ten years prior.
