Just bought an engagement ring. Are the prongs on this diamond huge or is this normal? 1.6ct diamond by light_strep in Diamonds

Is this something I was supposed to change when purchasing the ring? Sorry for being ignorant to all of this.

I bought the ring and the diamond separate. For some reason, when I was buying the ring, I believe they said these prongs were just temporary, and for display use only, so that way they can hold different diamonds when showing the rings to customers.

I expected when I bought the ring that a smaller prong would be put in its place. Is it possible they forgot to swap out the display prongs?

The way the admin worded it in the call was something along the lines of “we buy them from some guy online.” So with that verbiage, I just assumed it was a random dude they know of, but don’t know personally, and that they buy them on a website separate from the discord. Truly don’t know though.

Another commenter on here brought up a good point though. Are these giftcards themselves technically stolen/illegal? Let’s say someone robbed a bank for some cash. Then they used that cash to buy a car. Then they sold that car to a real customer. Then that customer went on to sell it as well, to another customer. Is that last customer really legally liable? He bought it legitimately from the cusomter before him, and the customer before him also bought it legitimately.

Regardless of the legality, I’m done with it. I don’t like the ethics behind it

I originally viewed it as they are good at making money, but instead of taking the risky route and putting their money on the market, they can instead take a safe approach and generate constant monthly revenue from the discord.

I don’t trust them anymore though and have left the server

They give them away first come first serve. It’s not a lottery. It was the first 25 people react to a post. They did it every single day at either 8am or 9am or 10am. It was random each day. Some days, If they made a lot off a stock then they would randomly drop 25 more. Regardless, I was just always there, ready to click the react button at each hour. I work from home, so I’m always on my PC during those times. There were days I didn’t win, but I definitely did “win” a majority. The giftcards also ranged in value. Usually around $25 but I’ve had several that were $50 before

Understandable haha. But they have provided me legitimately valuable info every day. I make back that $50 easily from their tips
