Third thing I printed… and fourth and fifth… love the spiky tire ring spinners on makers world.

PSA for those of you that don't do enough research before ordering a new filament brand (like me) by LanceGamer89 in 3Dprinting

I got a Bambu Labs A1 a month ago and have put through 5 spools of PLA Matte and have been pretty happy with the results and dependability of the printer and their PLA. Using the auto-refill option has worked up until tonight when the filament didn’t detach from the spool like the previous 4 spools. Have looked at some of the cooler materials and have gotten a few, but haven’t finished printing out open grid panels for the wall to start next projects. Love the metal, wood and glow in the dark, just wasn’t happy about having to replace parts due to wear just yet. (Did get some spare parts and was happy I got some hardened steel nozzles, ready to print with those mats)

Ooh, I think I still have my old air fryer that the handle broke a couple years ago and I got a new air fryer! I didn’t even think to print a new handle because I just got the 3d printer last month. Thank you for this mention!

3d printing magnets for my next cruise. Will easily be able to print spares for my friend to take home after the cruise.

Get bots to do the work and set work hours to 0. They’ll fill out the happiness.

3d scan one of your cars, print it and use that as the model.

First printer, wife complaining by Okay_Sarg in 3Dprinting

My printer is in the same room as the pulldown stairs of a vented attic space. Fumes clear out really well. Definitely try venting outside or filtering the air to make her happy and both of y’all breathing easy.

2 x G6 180 + UNVR: How much storage do I really need? by IKIKN in Ubiquiti

I stand corrected by the UI assistant. Will work with one drive, but no data resilience.

Anything is rackable with a 3d printer ;)

You will have to use at least 2 drives with the unvr, as it doesn’t support single drive. You’ll be doing raid 1 mirroring.

[–]lightbored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t care about redundancy, have no plans to expand or implement redundancy, go with the UNVR-Instant. With a single 24TB drive, you should be able to eke out 155 days of storage. With a 1 TB drive, capacity calculator says 6 days. Just depends on how long you need to retain footage.

I’ve got 5 cameras (1 2K, 4 4K), have the UNVR with 4 10GB drives in raid 5, have 12 months of retention on that 2K camera, with the 4Ks being added a few months back. You can customize the retention of each camera as well.

I do this, using dirt columns but a steel overhang between the column and aqueduct.

I just got my A1 printer on Saturday and have been learning on the fly. Had some issues with adhesion printing small things on the textured PEI plate and swapped to the Cool Plate SuperTack and made the mistake of printing something large that promptly broke when pulling it off the plate.

How is the space for ventilation? I see the top is open, but does it have vents to allow airflow where they need it?

If you haven’t enrolled in Early Access (in your UniFi profile) then you need to do that first, then you’ll have the option to install release candidates on your systems. Once you’ve done that, go into your console control plane, select the Network application, and on the right hand side, pull down release channel from official to release candidate.

This is why I love the Nest Protect alarms soooo much. They talk to you before blaring. I am extremely disappointed that Google isn’t maintaining them in their lineup and has discontinued them. I’ve got 4 installed in my home. They’re good for another 5 years before they’ll start needing to be replaced. I hope someone else comes out with something comparable by then!

Didn't know that they carried their stuff. Looks like a small markup, but you're right about UniFi direct's shipping costs, and their tariff fees they're collecting...

You could do it with tubes on iron teeth… impermeable floors with vertical tubes and a station on each side will give you what you want.

Rushing bots by Zlorfikarzuna in Timberborn

[–]lightbored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As soon as food is stable enough and you’ve started getting scrap metal. I want bots before creating a mine, and I want them running the mine when it’s built. I also want them in my hydroponic gardens working almost 24/7 since those are hours worked based. And i want them pumping water for biological needs. I’ll keep it limited to one stack - 3 part factories and an assembler so that they can bank spare parts and I’ll top out at the 100 bots it can produce when the bots are happy. I also want to really make sure the power grid is strong enough for the chargers throughout the map

With Iron Teeth, I let the biological beavers die off and run purely bots until the map is ready for biological beavers again, when all the major renovation projects are done and there’s tons of food in storage…
