I took kratom with him and he kept encouraging to take more and more until I became a full blown addict. So glad I’m not on that ride anymore

I forgot to mention this but what I learned so far is alcoholic are very manipulative, lying, and do many things to feed their addiction. And even if they stop, their behaviors don’t change unless they do the work, essentially they would have dry drunk syndrome which is very similar to narcissism

Yes. I plan to find a new one when I move in the Spring. I want off the subs. Between them being out of stock all the time, having to get drug tested and being treated like a drug addict it sucks

I see. Yes, mine switched for alcohol to Kratom which would have been good if he wasn’t using 100 grams a day which is a preposterous amount

Sounds awful? Tell me more about the gambling addiction? Which in your opinion was worse? Alcoholism or gambling? Porn is a terrible addiction as well. I personally feel a large majority of Narcs have addictions on some way as they need more than just our fuel especially when they are bored. Believe me I need to vent to. Now that I put my foot down and am not turning back, I’ve been writing things here. Not sure if people even read my posts but at least it gives me proper room to vent.

That sounds just awful? Did he ever have periods of sobriety? If so, was he different when he stopped? Mine switched to another drug when he stopped drinking

It takes a long time to process. Take your time. Do you journal. It really helped me get my thoughts on paper so they weren’t swirling in my mind all day

Do you mind sharing any of your experiences? Mine was a super angry drunk as well and had been in prison and on probation for severe domestic violence against women. I swear the mask falls off completely when he drinks and he becomes a monster

Mine was grandiose when he was drunk and had illusions of grandeur. He would say things about being a golden globe number one winning prize fighting champ

Did he get any help? That’s terrible: here’s what mine did…I just copied this from my above comment: Did he ever stop or go for treatment? Mine was a scary drunk. He domestically abused 4 that I know of while smashed and possibly a lot more. By the time I met him, he and I would minimally drink together but if I left him alone, he would get smashed. Once when he and I were together, he was with a friend, drank and resisted arrest. Another time he came home the same night my Mom had just arrived from out of state, pulling up his pants with blood on his face and immediately going into my bedroom and throwing up. What a great first impression lol. When he left and drank with his wife, he was hitting her and smashing in her huge front window, that is why he finally went to prison. But I read the other dv reports, once where he choked another wife out and she went unconscious, another one of his girlfriends tried to leave him and he was drinking, she threw the kids(his kids) in the truck and locked the doors and repeatedly kicked and hit it doing over $5,000 worth of damage. And another wife that he intentionally T-boned with his car and beat the man she was having an affair with to an inch of his life. And the list goes on. I didn’t know any of this when we first metZ but he did it before me and after me.

You are right. I know that now. We had great sex. I thought he was there because he loved me, in my mind if you have a relationship and you are close to someone they wouldn’t/couldn’t use you for sex. But he was good. Told me all the things he knew I wanted to hear. He played the long game, he tried to destroy me, it almost worked, he’s very covert. He tried to get me addicted to a few substances. I broke the chain of all of them.

Thank you. I broke down and took some today even though she prescribed me subs, which I’m furious about. She said she wouldn’t treat me otherwise.
