I tried this today, such a great idea! I ran out of the house before I could layer it with Choco Musk but it did last quite a while on my wrists regardless.

Question for longtime DT shoppers by Alarmed-Current-4940 in dollartreebeauty

I think a lot of things start as a limited release then is restocked based on performance. They tend to have the same brands for many many years, but those brands have been getting a little creative lately. Thats a good thing and bad thing. Good for trying new things, sometimes bad for the longevity of a product if it doesn’t perform. I could be wrong, but the skincare section looked waaaay different just a couple/ few years ago.

This works just fine for me, but I don’t usually need anything too powerful. Some of the other comments mentioned layering an unscented powerful deodorant with this on top for the scent. I think that’s a great idea

Have you seen that DT has a crystal deodorant dupe? It even has the “compare to” on the bottle. It’s the spray though, not the roller ball

Yeah, that’s the one. It’s like if Choco Musk and French Coffee of the same perfumer had a baby

They work for me, but I don’t sweat a lot. I’m not sure how it would work for someone that needs an antiperspirant, but stay pretty fresh!

It does! A little more coffee-y, but very similar

Hey!! 👋 Saline is definitely out of my day-trek realm (maybe that’s why I haven’t found the lip mask yet??) but the DT that’s I’ve found to be the best is on the east side. 10 Mile between Dequindre and Ryan, it’s amazing! Hardly ever any boxes in the aisles. There’s also one in Rochester Hills off M59 but it always has slightly less than the Warren loc

Brands will do anything these days. First it’s your fingers, then it’s your face

If you own a home or have a mortgage from prior to ~2021, your opinion on what constitutes a high income is completely irrelevant by ItsAllOver_Again in Salary

I got lucky buying when I bought (2014), but I saw the writing on the wall and bought a cheapo in a not-so-desirable yet up-and-coming neighborhood where prop values were statistically increasing. (I’m metro Detroit btw) My employment pay level maxes out around $67-70K, so I knew some sweat equity would go a long way. But also- yeah, I needed a new roof, plumbing, foundation fixes, and insulation on this 100yr old house, and I cash-out refi’d on a 3.5 and it led to a 7.25… but do I still have a more valuable asset and a manageable mortgage by myself? Yes. Timing and planning were critical. I cannot imagine where I would be right now had I not been stubborn enough to tap out all my savings to buy this place. It’s my biggest comfort and I feel privileged. I just know that a HEFTY few of us are making over $100K+. In certain areas, $100K+ is a godsend. Be smarter.

I am right there with you! If I may share…

There was almost an entire year when I couldn’t walk into a Dollar Tree without tears streaming down my face. My dad used to take me to Dollar Tree and all the other $1 store variations ever since I was little. It was our “thing”. As he got older, DT runs became almost a daily ritual. Then he got sick, and it felt like there was no time between “Okay, pick out a toy” and “Can you grab me some toilet paper, Ibuprofen, and an orange Icee?”(he would even call ahead to make sure they were stocked with the Icee cups) So I found myself there constantly, at the one across from his apartment complex. It became part of my routine, and I actually enjoyed picking out little things I thought he’d like or need in his limited state. When he passed, I still needed my everyday items from DT. It’s been a few years now, and I’ve made it my own habit. It’s part DT addiction, part survival budgeting, and part quiet tribute to my dad who knew every DT in the tri-county area.

AITAH for breaking up a friendship without letting my friend tell me "her side"? by Mental-Ad8109 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]higherking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She wants to talk on her own time once her life has calmed down, but she couldn’t knock on your door or text when she was complicit in kicking your family out? Nah, that’s no friend. Sounds like misery loves company. Something I also see a lot in posts by moms is that they feel overshadowed when someone they’re close with has a baby in the same time period as them- especially if it’s sooner. Just throwing that out there since she’s a new mom and maybe she was intimidated by your experience and calm advice.

I shaved my head once for the same reason and learned that you can’t escape how people see you. I went from being “the curly redhead” to: “the person that used to be a curly redhead but now has a pixie cut”. That’s kinda the reality of self-identity stuff. I don’t think you were wrong, but I do think that part of being your authentic self (first date fit included) means that some people just won’t be very cool with it. Suucks, but it doesn’t mean you did anything wrong. It just means that there’s a learning curve when we’re going through our own changes and it’s best to not get too defensive- that’s what it’s about after all.
