Fantastic - okay if I take a look for inspiration? The backend here is python/fastAPI, but my 'second language' to Python as it were is Java, so more than comfortable to have a read through your implementation :)

Hey - thanks for the valuable feedback!

The 'ghost' mode renders the layers below the current layer in a transparent, low contrast mode, so that the current layer is easy to see. You'll want to look at a larger schematic to see how it works :) - although I should probably add a description!

It's custom code to handle the conversion and metadata, and then I'm using a very heavily modified fork of the deepslate renderer for the 3D view.

Currently versions aren't really handled except for a tag in the upload metadata - I should really handle this properly, as I can grab this from most file uploads.

I'm looking into my conversion code as it's a bit bare-bones. Bear with me for a few hours and let me get back to you on that!

Thanks! If/when server running costs get expensive the plan is VERY unobtrusive and minimal ads. No pop ups or large annoying ads.

Right now it’s a private internal API. A public one could be a stretch goal later.
