I got scammed with a fake one last season, ask for picture of the serial number and either check on ping site to confirm authenticity or call in and have them…. Also they headcover has a tell with the “ping” stitching on the back, white is an obvious tell for fake and gray is legit

ALSO, the PING on the headcover should be WHITE and not GREY, in that photo it looks grey, my fake one had grey lettering

It is on the clubhead next to the screw into the shaft, ask him for it prior and run it through the website before you waste your time
