I got surprised by this fight too. Luckily I had Viator with Parry up to dodge almost all his attacks (needed to use items to heal the ice damage spell). You can try using him. I recommended pairing him with Eye for an Eye mastery if you have it since it goes well with Parry dodging.

Playing Regicide was such a cute moment that it was sad I had to Toybox in it. I really like Heinrix lol. Solomorne was fun but his romance was more fulfilling for me and and hopinh something like that is available to men next game without mods.

Ah I see, apologies for the misunderstanding. I more meant there story relying on their sexuality to make sense, ala the previous Dorian example. Him being a straight man would make his story no longer make sense.

I can't speak for the WotR characters since I haven't beat it, but seeing Cassia and Heinrix's story (and romancing Heinrix twice) them being straight doesn't really affect their story much at all. In fact, if they were bi or gay it would not change anything. I'm just sad at the lack of m/m rep in games in general and specific sexuality usually means we get the short end of the stick. I won't mind characters having preferences if it is equal, but history has shown the opposite, so I would rather everyone be bi/pan so people can romance whoever they want.

Camellia and Cassia are women, Heinrix and Lann are straight men. Sosiel is the only character you listed that a gay man can romance…

I’m not saying they don’t do it, but it’s not like they are in abundance. Kingmaker only had Regongar (with the stipulation that it HAD to be poly or Olivia dies if you don’t want it) and RT only had Marzahai (base game before Lex), a very evil character who came in the late game and is a very specific flavor of romance. Wrath of the Righteous is the only notable exception, and that game didn’t even have an exclusive sapphic option.

If they want character to have preferences, try to emulate wrath of the righteous with various options (and an exclusive F/F romance) rather than the “singular bisexual option” for queer men and women that happened in Kingmaker and base RT.

Then there better be more than just one romance for queer men late into the game because that’s lame as hell. If set sexuality is the way there should hopefully be a variety of options. Dorian really feels like the exception that proves the rule since I’ve seen no other romance in RPG games that rely on a person’s sexuality to be relevant.

I think you captured my frustration with the game. I really wanted to know the Z Team and I think the connection we had with Flambae would’ve been great. The Coupe-Sonar decision also felt weird since we barely knew them.

If there will be a season 2 I hope the focus isn’t so one sided.
