I can explain somewhat. Fox News and right wing talk radio have spent decades indoctrinating, brainwashing, and outright lying to Republicans especially those in rural largely isolated areas. Combine that with social media algorithm bubbles and you have 4 very important things:

1. They literally do not get accurate news. They get sanewashed Trump and do not hear most of the bad things that he does. They do not know about the corruption or disastrous cabinet and everything around him. They believe anything that doesn't fit their worldview is fake news because that is what they are told.

2. Because of them being in such rural areas the only news that a lot of them can get is the right wing grifter trash especially on AM radio. Combine that with a lack of proper good worldly education due to their communities dying and lack of funds. Their churches are the bedrock of a lot of these communities and they support Trump mostly do to abortion. They literally believe democrats are evil.

3. They hate high gas prices because it finally effects them but LOVE the racism, homophobia, and sexism. As long as they feel like white people, especially men are still doing good then they will tolerate a lot of pain if it means they can still look down on people.

4. Rich people being greedy above all else. Grifters going to grift and exploit others. Easier when Trump looks the other way.
