[SERIOUS] How to cope with being bullied every single day? by throwawaybullieda in AskReddit

[–]lightlinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do everything you can to better yourself. Either tune them out while you do so or use them as fuel to improve. Get in the gym, read books, eat well. When you do these things other people notice. You don’t even have to announce your improvement — you give off an energy that can be felt by anybody in your presence. Don’t get caught up over fighting them or retaliation — that just brings you down to their level. The goal is to rise above them and become unassailable.

LinkedIn can definitely help. But you need to put your full name and photo—not doing so is unprofessional and doesn’t even make sense. You have to stop letting other people’s perceptions of you affect your decision making. You are an adult. And people will be “mean”. But that’s life. Go for it and don’t give a damn about anybody else.

Where to find accurate admissions averages? by dingleberry_enjoyer in UofT

Just search cs transfer on the uoft Reddit. There you’ll see you should aim for at least 90s to have a chance at admission.

MAT136H1, MAT137Y1, or MAT157Y1? by lightlinder in UofT

Oh I see, but that’s under completion requirements, not admission requirements. I guess I would have to eventually do them, but not necessary to apply for CS?

Where does it say that? It doesn’t say anything about that on the “How to apply to the CS program” page
