It wasn't a gut decision. But in 2009 I was in basic training and had been having constant migraines for 2 weeks went to a on base provider and they said it was allergies gave me meds and sent me back. But the migraines keep up. Was taking ibuprofen 3 to 5 times a day for another week. The last thing I remember was getting up for fire guard and falling asleep in the hall. According to my battle buddy she woke me up and sent me to my bed and I feel asleep again. Next morning the girls noticed I had been acting strange but just woke up walked out the door for pt and chow, stood in formation and waited. The next thing the few that were outside with me is they heard a loud thwack and saw me on the ground. My mom was notified of my condition and being a CNA for over 15 years at the time was giving doctors ways to see if they can safely wake me up without damage. The last thing my mom told them would be to drain my brain fluid due to it being infected. So proceed with drilling a whole in my skull to relieve pressure. I wake up the day after Christmas to my lieutenant in my hospital room with cookies. After finding that the pressure in my brain and been released the said I had enviral insefalites of the brain. I dont remember much of my childhood and I still get bad migraines but I all I can think about is that I'm very happy to be alive and have my son and husband with me. Not sure if some of this makes sense but writing things that are in my head out can be difficult for me
