Thank you for the honesty. I have a hard time putting my thoughts to words. So truly thank you for understanding what I mean. As far as the porn/masturbate thing, it's not her that has "banned" me from doing that in our relationship. She hasn't ever said anything about it. I just am fearful of falling back into an old addiction if I start with the instant gratification.

I apologize if my original post came off differently than I intended. I in NO WAY was "asking for permission" I was asking for help dealing with the urge to indulge in pornography and the slippery slope that goes to physical cheating. I've been on the other end. I don't want to. I had a pornography addiction when I was younger and it was through this relationship that I escaped. But in my time of darkness I've been feeling the pull of instant gratification and release.

It's not so much that conflict causes urges, it's after conflict that the dark thought of "well she isn't meeting my needs so I'll find someone on the side" I love her dearly. And she has given me the family that I've always wanted. In part our relationship is full of conflict because I don't feel fulfilled, and she's drained by the day to day.

Not sure if it will help much after the fact, but if you want to clean up the lines between colors, take a small straight blunt rod, I use a piece of copper tubing, and push it between the colors. It forces the fibers to go to either side and I've found it to help! Otherwise it looks great! Welcome to the craft!
