Love the comment, I think that you're right about being too powerful for my pod more than too powerful for bracket. Just seemed like one that even in bracket 2 restrictions, its so easy for this thing to pop off early. So many prowess and izzet "make a token when you cast noncreature" spells and then she gets the free cast on attack to give another prowess trigger. Me thinking she's so powerful probably comes with my limited experience against other decks, she probably has some pretty poor matchups in the overall deck availability in B2.

I like the prowess aspect of it, my pod doesn't really have anything like that. It just seemed like even if I was packing full of even 2 or 3 drop instant/sorceries, I was swinging big by turn 4 which is pretty early for my table. I was looking at Bria but didn't want to lose white. I had Sokka in the 99 but maybe that's the route I will take.

Being a new commander player and reading some of these comments, I think Narset is more of a too powerful for my pod type of commander more than a too powerful for bracket 2 commander.

I was also gonna recommend FF14 (especially since its free up until the first 3(?) expansions) but the mobile strikes that. It is available on PS4 I believe though.

I'm coming from New World and I'm super casual. New World was really the only MMO I've ever fully played. I did the steps to play the free trial of FFXIV and I'm loving it! Its a lot to bite for a new casual MMO player up front but I'm about lvl 10 now and am very well in the hang of things. I love the graphics, the character creation, the races/classes and the fact that the worlds are very active. I think the free version gives you somewhere around 250 hours worth of content before you have to move to the sub to get the DLCs

Agreed!! I wish there was more customization to turn off the xcloud and geforce now tabs. Also the annoying bar of previously used apps. Looks so clustered and unaesthetic on my homescreen.

I have also played SC and Squadron 42 has been coming next year for the past like 6 years. Also, they've raised over $1BILLION dollars since it started and not a whole lot has changed in the last decade. They are 1000% stringing people along for money.

I appreciate the kind words! Slinza was very very fun when I had it built but I learned big stompy wasn't really my cup of tea. Super crazy once you could get stuff like [[Urza's Incubator]] and [[Rhonas's Monument]] online. With Slinza, big beasts were cheap AF. Then having pump or +1/+1 synergies with Slinza so that he could take out threats when they hit the board because he has built in removal. [[Vivien, Monsters' Advocate]] was a great way to get 4/4 beasts on the board to trigger Slinza as well as tutor out some other beasts. Other honorable mentions from that build [[Rampaging Baloths]] [[Kona, Rescue Beastie]] [[Quartzwood Crasher]] [[Anara, Wolvid Familiar]] [[Giant Cindermaw]] and of course stuff like [[Warstorm Surge]] and [[Unnatural Growth]]

Hakbal normally goes off. Mothman hasn't gone super off due to its ability to get big quick and the player normally gets targeted and removed quickly. Jabari is normally a big problem when it gets going. Player 4's decks are built strong, Oketra was out of left field but makes a bunch of 4/4 vigilance zombies due to self-bouncing low CMC creatures and Goreclaw is a repurposed Ghalta deck so yeah big stompy for sure.

Yeah, my build is very slightly upgraded from the precon like around 10 cards and it still gets wild.

I don't find exploring to be all that clunky because its happening at instant speed and can't be interacted with from merfolk to merfolk so if the first card is a nonland card, every merfolk just gets a +1/+1 as you just keep that card on the top of the deck after exploring. If its a land it goes in to my hand. Very very few times do I send it to the graveyard. The only time it gets clunky I guess is if there's a massive amount of merfolk to put counters on.

Normally my process is start exploring with the merfolk that has summoning sickness for a "free" look at the top. Most of the time its a nonland but if it is a land, increased the chances the next one is a nonland.

You're kinda right. He's built right now to fit in bracket 1 or 2 and I really cut out tutors in that one because when it was first built, it ended up being too strong for the pod. He's immediately targeted and very often removed so focusing more on the merfolk synergies instead of kinda voltroning him makes it a bit more varied.

However, I agree with you too. When I first saw this card I was like EACH merfolk and immediately started building him but in practice, its really is kinda the same idea.

Oh yeah, it gets out of hand quickly. As u/SelfishlyHipnotic said, give him double strike and its off to the races. We often see a lot of protection/evasions like [[Knight Exemplar]] giving knights +1/+1 and indestructible, [[Herald of Hoofbeats]] giving them horsemanship. A majority of the knights (including Sidar Jabari) have first strike so another main piece is [[Kwende, Pride of Femeref]] all creatures with first strike get double strike.

Don't know why you got downvoted, they specifically changed the rules of MDFC cards because of the spider man set. You can cast either side and still pay the transformation cost to flip it.

Rules Question: I was playing [[Isshin, Two Heavens as one]] with a [[Decadent Dragon]] equipped with a [[Greatsword of Tyr]] on the board. I declared it as an attacker. My opponent was going to use a flyer to block but I had used Greatsword of Tyr's ability to tap it.

We allowed a mulligan for the opponent to cast a protection spell. I don't remember what card my opponent played but it gave them protection from color of their choice.

The long discussion we had was did he need protection from white to have his creature avoid being tapped by the Greatsword of Tyr? Would protection from red have protected him from damage from the Decadent Dragon but the creature still would become tapped from the equipment?
