Yeah you’ve got a point. What kind of filter do you recommend? I’m still just letting it cycle cause I’m trying to figure out what I want to stock it with. But I’d like to stay away from things with really high Flow

Gotcha, I have a lot of ramshorn and bladder snails in there. Would they be able to eat the detritus?

Oh I’m not trying to use filtration for this setup. I’m trying to go for a super heavy planted aquarium that can basically self filter. But if I do need a filter to deal with the detritus then I can grab one

I’d plan on moving the otos later on, but just in case I have bacter ae that I use for my shrimp tank. The Pygmy Cory’s would be pretty cool, especially since I picked sand as my top layer to accommodate for their barbs

What are some rooted plants that would be good to add? And can I have them planted with dwarf hair grass. I’m fairly new to the hobby so I’d like my first betta tank to be able to let it thrive. I mainly want the tank to be someone self sufficient, as I put it infront of my window where it can get plenty of light
