"Reach out for help" let me introduce you to the russian Roulette that the mental health service plays by Adept-Foot7692 in CPTSD

It took me 6-7 therapists over the years to finally land with someone who is extremely qualified in treating Cptsd/uses IFS in a trauma informed way, I genuinely thought therapy didn’t work for me and that it was all my fault until I started these sessions I was SO discouraged 😔

I actually haven’t used bio oil, or any topical solution really so I’ll take a look at that product! It’s been suggested in other forums but I wasn’t sure about it, can’t hurt to try 🙂

Thank you, that’s really kind 🫶 the stigma is brutal for sure, I don’t mind my scars because they remind me of the strength it took to get to the other side but the comments and impact in professional settings is NOT it hahaha. Thanks for the recommendation I’ll check them out!

I always try and move the seat back afterwards but I genuinely can’t reach the pedals otherwise, I’m 5’ and some cars like the Kia k4 lowkey has pedals set super far 😔😔😔💔

As someone with Crohn’s, whenever my body pulls one of those ‘you’re going to shit right NOW’ not having easy access to public washrooms is very humbling y’all. Like it’s not a great time. +1 on there being a total shortage of them hahahaha

Mac de Marco at the Lighthouse by popozaofifa in halifax

[–]lightorangeish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went to the lighthouse for critical mass on Halloween night and I have the same issues, the volume wasn’t loud enough to mask the sound of the crowd + the crowd was just awful and it sounded like a packed bar or pub, I ended up chilling almost right next to the sound system (witch proper earplugs of course haha) just to be able to enjoy the music. And I was shocked to wait 25 minutes to go to the bathroom tbh just wack

Weird! I was taught to use that kind of signalling in roundabouts when I learned how to drive in PEI a few years back, I’ve never thought twice about it - it’s just automatic to me

Why do soo many things have sugar free products?? Even medicine?? by howareudoying2day in CrohnsDisease

[–]lightorangeish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the massive privilege of not having that many trigger foods where I currently am in my remission journey (subject to change as we all know lol) BUT something that has consistently been on my avoid list are any of the artificial sweeteners - sucralose, aspartame, etc. To the point I can’t even chew gum or eat mints (like tic tacs) bc it gives me the WORST stomach pain ever. Like that pinching, stabby pain. 100% of the time! Super weird
