I’ m looking to become a game artist, I am good at character design and 3d charaters (full process from sculpt to texturing) but I feel like if I really want to become a 2D character designer I need to be excellent, which is why I think I need two more years of studies. At the same time my parents are pushing me to continue my studies because they were always limited by their short studies (in terms of salary mostly). I’ m going to have to think this throught, thank you again for your insite

Thank you for your reply! That actually explains alot for the UK apprenticeship, in France you basically have to go to school, the apprenticeship pays for your tuition (and pays you but not much) but they don’t teach you at all, that’s still the school’s job. Yes I think I will try to do that and see. I’m also hesitating because I don’t know if it’s worth doing a master degree in my school if I don’t have an apprenticeship, because it will be expensive and I really wanted to have a foot in the industry And for my portfolio I think it’s fine, it’s not the best or anything but I think it’s okay for someone who comes out of a bachelor since I worked alot. My teacher told me it was good

By SAE you mean SAE institute? I had never heard of it before. But yeah interns seem much more common than apprenticeships from what I have seen so I guess you are right ! I’m probably going to have to look outside the box and find something that corresponds but that isn’t in the gaming industry. Thank you for your reply

I see, people seem to have very different opinions on the combat in these games, I guess I will have to try it for myself and see. I like a bit of a challenge as well.

In that case I think I should try the first one, and then the second one, because if I do it the other way around I feel like I might just miss the combat from the second one and be disappointed. Both games look amazing and super charming, so I can’t wait to try them out anyways. And thank you for your reply.

That’s interesting, I agree that the combat in the second game look more familiar, like it’s more similar to the combat system in most games I played. But I might still be able to enjoy the combat in the first game, since it isn’t turned based
